The 15th ''Vuelta a España'' (Tour of pain-nl, a long-distance bicycle stage race and one of the three grand tours, was held from 29 April to 15 May 1960. It consisted of 17 stages covering a total of , and was won by Frans De Mulder of the Groene Leeuw cycling team. Arthur Decabooter won the points classification and Antonio Karmany won the mountains classification. Frans De Mulder
Frans De Mulder (17 December 1937 in Kruishoutem – 5 March 2001 in Deinze) was a professional road bicycle racing, road racing cyclist from Belgium between 1958 and 1963. De Mulder is most famous for winning the General classification, overall title and four stages the 1960 Vuelta a España. He bested fellow countryman Armand Desmet and Spaniard Miguel Pacheco across 3566 km in 17 stages. Kas (cycling Team)
Kas was a Spanish-based professional cycling team which was active from 1958 until 1979 and again for three years in the 1980s. Its name was derived from the name of the principal sponsor of the team, the soft drinks manufacturer, Kas (drink), Kas. The team was principally based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. Its riders typically wore a jersey that consisted of yellow and blue. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). Antonio Suárez Vázquez (20 May 1932 – 6 January 1981) was a professional road bicycle racing, road racing cyclist from Spain between 1956 and 1965. He is most famous for winning the General classification, overall title and the King of the Mountains, climbers classification at the 1959 Vuelta a España. Federico Martín Bahamontes, born Alejandro Martín Bahamontes (; 9 July 1928 – 8 August 2023), was a Spanish professional road racing cyclist. He won the 1959 Tour de France and a total of 11 Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tour stages between 1954 and 1965. He won a total of nine King of the Mountains, mountain classifications and was the first cyclist to complete a King of the Mountains#Career triples, "career triple" by winning the mountain classification in all three Grand Tours.
