The 1959–60 National Football League was the 29th staging of the National Football League (Ireland), National Football League (NFL), an annual Gaelic football tournament for the Gaelic Athletic Association county teams of Ireland. The first all-Ulster final attracted a record crowd for a League final and was won by Down. Kevin Mussen
Kevin Mussen (born 8 October 1933 in Hilltown, County Down, Hilltown, County Down) was an Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Clonduff GAC, Clonduff and was a member of the Down GAA, Down senior inter-county team from 1951 until 1962. Mussen Captain (Gaelic games), captained Down to the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, All-Ireland title in 1960. It was the first time that Down won the title and the first time that the Sam Maguire Cup crossed the border to the North. Dungannon Thomas Clarkes (in Irish 'Dún Geanainn Thomáis Uí Cleirigh') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Dungannon in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. They play at O'Neill Park in Dungannon, which is also the second home of Tyrone G.A.A. The club has won 11 senior football championships and 4 intermediate football championships. History Dungannon Thomas Clarkes GFC (Cumann Thomáis Uí Chléirigh Dún Geanainn) was formed in 1917 and is named after one of the executed leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, Thomas J Clarke, who spent his formative years living in Dungannon. The club colours are green, white and yellow. O'Neill Park has been the home of the Clarkes since 1947. It was the first GAA owned pitch in Tyrone and represented at the time a growing confidence in the GAA in its ability to develop and organise Gaelic games.
