Belgian First Division
The Belgian Pro League (; ; ), officially the Jupiler Pro League () for sponsor Jupiler, is a professional association football league in Belgium and the highest level of the Belgian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs from the 2023–24 Belgian Pro League, 2023–24 season until 2025–26 when it will expand to 18 teams from 2026–27 onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from late July to late March, with teams playing 30 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs''), Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') or Play-offs III (also known as the ''Relegation play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season. Daring Club De Bruxelles
Royal Daring Club Molenbeek was a football (soccer), football team from the city of Brussels, Belgium until . It was created in as Daring Club de Bruxelles and was the second club to register to the Belgian Football Association (it thus received the Football in Belgium#Matricule numbers, matricule number 2), but it was admitted to the Belgian Pro League, league only in 1903. History Daring Club de Bruxelles were formed in 1895 and after absorbing other local clubs in 1920 they became Royal Daring Club Molenbeek. It had to wait until 1936 to come back at the top and win its fourth championship, and the fifth came a year later. In 1938, it finished 2nd. The next season saw a poor performance by Daring to finish 13th (forelast). The club was relegated just before the competition was stopped because of World War II. Belgian Second Division
The Belgian Second Division was the second-highest division in the Belgian football league system, one level below the Belgian Pro League. It was founded by the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1909 and folded in 2016, when it was replaced by the Belgian First Division B (known as the Proximus League for sponsorship reasons)). 1960–61 European Cup
The 1960–61 European Cup was the sixth season of the European Cup, UEFA's premier club football tournament. The competition was won by Benfica, who beat Barcelona 3–2 in the final at Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, on 31 May 1961. It was the first time that five-time winners Real Madrid did not make it to the final, when they were knocked out by eventual first-time finalists Barcelona in the first round. Benfica was the first Portuguese team to reach the final and to win the tournament. For the first time a team from Norway participated. However, again two teams withdrew from the competition after initial draw: Romanian CCA București was fearing a shameful elimination in front of the Czechoslovakians, while Northern Irish Glenavon and East German Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt were refused visas to the other's country.
