1958–59 Landsdelsserien
The 1958–59 Landsdelsserien was a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league was contested by 54 teams, divided into a total of seven groups from four districts; Østland/Søndre, Østland/Nordre, Sørland/Vestre and Møre/Trøndelag. The two group winners in the Østland districts, Rapid and Vålerengen promoted directly to the 1959–60 Hovedserien. The other five group winners qualified for promotion play-offs to compete for two spots in the following season's top flight. Start and Brage won the play-offs and were promoted. Sportsklubben Rapid was a Norwegian association football club located in Moss, Norway that was founded on 25 August 1925. Sagene is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. The area became part of the city of Oslo (then Christiania) in 1859. The name Sagene itself is the plural of the Norwegian word for "saw", reflecting all the old industrial mechanical saws powered by the river Akerselva in this area in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Sandaker Ski og Fotballklubb, founded on 6 July 1915, is a football club in Sandaker in Oslo in Norway. The football club is part of a sports club which now only includes football and skiing, but they formerly also had a futsal section. Sandaker SFK had been in the top Norwegian division from 1947 until 1949, as well as the second division 1949-1952 and 1957–1961, and continued to operate in the league system of Norway until withdrawing from the 6. divisjon (the seventh tier of Norway) in 2013. Lyn 1896 Fotballklubb () is a Norway, Norwegian association football, football club and a department of the sports club SFK Lyn, Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn based in Oslo, whose members also participate in Nordic skiing and orienteering. Until 2010, SFK Lyn had two football departments, one professional section and one amateur section. After the professional football department, FK Lyn, was bankrupted in 2010, the fans decided to support the amateur department, Lyn Fotball, instead. Frigg Oslo Fotballklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Majorstua in Oslo. It has sections for association football and bandy. History It was founded on 17 May 1904 as ''SK Frigg'', named after Frigg of Norse mythology. It was merged on 21 April 1954 with ''SK Varg''. It took the name ''Frigg Oslo FK'' in 1990. Moss Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club, founded on 28 August 1906. They play in the 1. divisjon, the second highest division in the Norwegian football league system. They played in the Norwegian top flight between 1937–1939, 1953–54, 1977–1985 (9 seasons), 1987–1990 (4 seasons), 1996 and 1998–2002. The club came close to earning promotion to the top flight in 2005, but lost the play-off against Molde. Stadium Moss play their home games at Melløs stadion, which has a capacity of around 10,000. Pors Fotball is a Norwegian football club from Porsgrunn, currently playing in the 2. divisjon. Pors plays in blue jerseys, and their home ground is Pors Stadion. Sarpsborg Fotballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Sarpsborg, Østfold. It was founded on 8 May 1903. Sarpsborg is one of the most successful teams in the Norwegian Football Cup, with six titles and twelve finals in total.
