Santos Futebol Clube () is a Brazilian sports club based in Vila Belmiro, a ''bairro'' in the city of Santos, São Paulo, Santos. Arthur Edward Ellis
Arthur Edward Ellis (8 July 1914 – 23 May 1999) was an English football referee. He was born in Halifax, West Riding of Yorkshire. Ellis was a referee in The Football Association competitions and in FIFA international competitions. He refereed at the 1950, 1954 and 1958 World Cups; running the line in the 1950 FIFA World Cup Final and Third Place Play-off in 1958 and refereeing the Third Place Play-off in 1954. Refereeing career Ellis is most remembered for refereeing the notorious 1954 '' Battle of Berne'' and the first leg of the 1960–61 second round tie in the European Cup between Real Madrid and Barcelona. In the closing minutes of that match Ellis waved down a flag as Sandor Kocsis strode into the Madrid penalty area, and awarded a penalty when the Hungarian was fouled. Pacaembu Stadium (, ; named after the Pacaembu neighbourhood), currently known as Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu for sponsorship reasons, is an association football stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. Manuel Marinho Alves, best known as ''Maneca'' (January 28, 1926 – July 14, 1961), was an association footballer in striker role. He was born in Salvador Bahia, Brazil. During his career (1943–1957) he played for Galícia, Vitória, Vasco da Gama and Bangu. He won four Rio de Janeiro State Championships (1947, 1949, 1950 and 1952) and the South American Club Championship of 1948. Ademir De Menezes
Ademir Marques de Menezes (; 8 November 1922 – 11 May 1996) was a Brazilian footballer, regarded as one of the best forwards in the country's history. His prominent underbite earned him the nickname (The Jaw). He was also the top goalscorer of the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Club career Ademir began his club career with Sport Recife before moving to Vasco da Gama. He played for Vasco for two spells, 1942–1945 and 1948–56, broken by a spell at Fluminense. In total, Ademir won two Pernambuco State League Championships (1941, 1942) and five Rio State League championships (1945, 1949, 1950, 1952, 1956). He won another with Fluminense (1946).
