1948 Cupa României Final
The 1948 Cupa României Final was the 11th final of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football cup competition. It was disputed between FC UTA Arad, ITA Arad and FC CFR Timișoara, CFR Timișoara, and was won by Arad after a game with 5 goals. It was the first cup title in the history of ITA Arad. This was the first Cupa României final after the Second World War, with the previous edition played exactly five years earlier on 15 August 1943. Due to scheduling issues, the final (though corresponding to the 1947–48 autumn-winter-spring season) was not played until mid-August; this had a knock-on effect for the next season, with its final played in December 1949. 1947–48 Cupa României
The 1947–48 Cupa României was the 11th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by ITA Arad against CFR Timișoara. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots are made, the first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams until 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. First-pot teams will play away. Each tie is played as a single leg. In the first round proper, if a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the score is still tied after 120 minutes, the team from the lower league will qualify. In the rest of the rounds, if a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the score is still tied after 120 minutes, the team who plays away will qualify. Moise Vass (18 May 1920 – 12 November 2005) was a Romanian footballer who played as a right back. After he ended his playing career, Vass worked as a manager at Indagrara Arad. Iosif Ritter (2 December 1921 – 30 August 2006) was a Romanian football midfielder and referee. As a player he reached the 1948 Cupa României final with CFR Timișoara, which was lost with 3–2 against ITA Arad. As a referee, he arbitrated the 1967 Cupa României final. Nicolae Dumitrescu
Nicolae "Coco" Dumitrescu (8 December 1921 – 17 March 1999) was a Romanian footballer and manager. As a footballer, he played mainly as a forward and throughout his career, he won four Divizia A titles and two cups with ITA Arad and as a manager, he won two titles with the same team, also in the 1970–71 European Cup season they eliminated Feyenoord who were European champions at that time and for these performances he is considered a symbol of the club. Iosif Ioan Stibinger (also known as János Stibinger or János Barna; 24 September 1923 – 17 June 1949) was a Romanian football player who played as a striker at international level for Romania. Club career Iosif Stibinger was born on 24 September 1923 in Reșița, Romania and made his senior debut at Hungarian team, Elektromos at age 18. After one year he went to play for Nagyváradi AC in Crișana, which that time was occupied by Hungary, winning the 1943–44 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, contributing with three goals scored in 20 matches. Ladislau Ludovic Bonyhádi (; born 25 March 1923 - deceased 13 June 1997 in Miami, Florida, United States) was a Romanian football player of Hungarian ethnicity.
