The Peruvian Second Division (; known simply as ''Second Division'', and Liga 2 Caja Cusco for sponsorship reasons), officially known as Liga 2, is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. Founded in 1943, it is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation. Since 2025, it has been contested by 15 teams, with promotion to the Peruvian Primera División, Liga 1, and relegation to the Peruvian Tercera División, Liga 3. Ciclista Lima Association is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Lima. It is the second-oldest club in Peru. The club was founded 1896 and plays in the Copa Perú, which is the third division of the Peruvian league. History The club was the 1944, 1946, 1949, and 1993 Segunda División Peruana champion. The Sport Boys Association, commonly referred to as the Sport Boys or simply the Boys, is a Peruvian association football club based in the port city of Callao, founded on 28 July 1927. Barranco District
Barranco, founded in 1874 as San José de Surco, is one of 43 districts in Lima, Peru. Its current mayor is Jessica Vargas. The district is considered to be the city's most romantic and bohemian, being the home and working place of many of Peru's leading artists, musicians, designers and photographers. In the 19th century, it was a very fashionable beach resort for the Limeño aristocracy, and many people used to spend the summer here and in neighboring Chorrillos. Georges Antoine Chavez (January 13, 1887 – September 27, 1910), also known as Jorge Chávez or Géo Chavez, was a Peruvian aviator. At a young age, he achieved fame for his aeronautical feats. He died in 1910 after a heavy wind broke the wings of his fragile airplane Bleriot XI, falling from a twenty-meter height upon landing, after achieving the first air crossing of the Pennine Alps.
