Divizia A
Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 Divizia A, 1909–10 campaign, being currently 25th in UEFA's UEFA coefficient#League coefficient, league coefficient ranking list. It is administered by the Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, also known by the acronym LPF. Before the 2006–07 Liga I, 2006–07 season, the competition was known as ''Divizia A'', but the name had to be changed following the finding that someone else had registered that trademark. Vasile Deheleanu
Vasile Deheleanu (12 August 1910 – 30 April 2003) was a Romanian footballer who played in midfield and coach. Club career Vasile Deheleanu was born on 12 August 1910 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary, growing up in the Mehala neighborhood. He started playing junior level football at local club, Unirea. In 1925 he moved to neighboring club, Politehnica where he met Tony Cargnelli which he considered the best coach of his career. In 1928 he went to play for România Cluj where in his first season, the team reached the final of the national league where they were defeated with 3–2 by Venus București. In 1931 he went to play for one season at UD Reșița with whom he reached another championship final which was lost with 3–0 in front of Venus București. In 1932, Deheleanu went at Ripensia Timișoara, winning the title in his first season, coach Jenő Konrád using him in eight games in which he scored one goal, including playing in the final with Universitatea Cluj ...

Rudolf Bürger
Rudolf Bürger (31 October 1908 – 20 January 1980) was a Romanian international footballer and coach of German ethnicity. He is one of a few men who participated in each of the three pre-World War II FIFA World Cups. At club level, he played mostly for Ripensia Timișoara with whom he won several trophies. Club career Bürger was born on 31 October 1908 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary (now Romania), growing up and starting to play football as a child in the Elisabetin neighborhood. In 1920 he started to play junior level football at local club, ESE. Afterwards he moved to CS Tricolor, then he went at ETC, arriving in 1924 at Chinezul Timișoara. Vilmos Zombori
Vilmos Zombori (11 January 1906 – 17 January 1993) was a Romanian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was also known as William Zombory. Club career Vilmos Zombori was born on 11 January 1906 in Temesvár, Austria-Hungary (now Romania), growing up in a family in which he had eight brothers. He started to play junior level football in 1919 at Chinezul Timișoara, starting his senior career in 1925 in the regional league at Sparta CFR Timișoara. After one year he went back at Chinezul, being brought as a replacement for Adalbert Ritter, winning the 1926–27 title, being used by coaches Frontz Dőme and Jenő Konrád in 11 games. In 1930, Zombori went at Ripensia Timișoara, winning the 1932–33 title, being the first-choice goalkeeper, coach Konrád using him in 11 games in which he scored one goal, including playing in the final with Universitatea Cluj. Dumitru Pavlovici
Dumitru Pavlovici (26 April 1912 – 28 September 1993) was a Romanian football goalkeeper who played for Romania in the 1938 FIFA World Cup. Club career Dumitru Pavlovici, nicknamed ''Pantera neagră'' () was born on 26 April 1912 in Timișoara, Romania, growing up and starting to play football as a child in the Mehala neighborhood. He started playing organized football as a forward at local club, Dacia. He first played as a goalkeeper while he was still at Dacia in a game with AMEF. In 1933, Pavlovici went at Ripensia Timișoara where he had to compete to be first-choice goalkeeper with Vilmos Zombori who was six years older than him. In his first season spent at the club, he won the Cupa României but did not play in the final as Zombori was preferred. In the 1934–35 season he won the title, coaches Josef Uridil and Rudolf Wetzer using him in 15 matches. Petea Vâlcov
Petre "Petea" Vâlcov (1910 – 16 November 1943) was a Romanian football player. Forming a well-known attacking triple for Venus București alongside his two brothers, Colea and Volodea, he was one of the most efficient goal-scorers in the Romanian First League. Career He played for only two clubs : Mihai Viteazu Chişinău and Venus București. Despite his goalscoring ability, he was never the top-goalscorer of the Divizia A. International career Petea Vâlcov made his debut for the national side in a June 1933 Balkan Cup match against Bulgaria. He had a great spell and scored two goals as Romania won 7–0. Grațian Sepi (30 December 1910 – 6 March 1977) was a Romanian footballer who played as a striker. Club career Grațian Sepi, nicknamed "The Tank from the Balkans" or "The Brunette Sindelar" was born on 30 December 1910 in Valkány, Austria-Hungary, being his parents second child of three boys. After spending the first few years in Valkány, his family moved to Timișoara where he grew up in the Mehala neighborhood. He started playing junior level football in 1922 at local club, Politehnica. ILSA Timișoara
ILSA Timișoara (Industria Lânii Societate Anonimă Timișoara) (English: Society of Anonymous Wool Industry Timișoara) was a football team from Timișoara, Timiș County, Romania. History ILSA Timișoara was founded in 1922, with players and workers of the wool factory from Timișoara. (Industria Lânii = Wool Industry) They spend most of the time in Timișoara County League. Their best performance was to win Divizia B in 1936, the current Liga II. But they lost the Promotion / Relegation Play-off for next year of Divizia A against Universitatea Cluj with 5–1 on Aggregate. This was also the last games in their history because in that summer ILSA Timișoara merged with the most famous team of those year, Chinezul Timișoara. The merge was not a success because the results did not appear, and in just 10 years, in 1946, Chinezul Timișoara disbanded also.
