1933–34 Gauliga Bayern
The 1933–34 Gauliga Bayern was the inaugural season of the league, one of the 16 Gauligas in Germany at the time. It was the first tier of the German football league system, football league system in Bavaria (German:''Bayern'') from 1933 to 1945. The Gauliga Bayern had replaced the Bezirksliga Bayern which had been played in two divisions, north and south, as the top tier of football in Bavaria at the end of the 1932–33 seasons. The Gauligas in Germany replaced the seven regional championships and a large number of local leagues that existed in Germany until then and were established after the Nazi seizure of power, rise of the Nazism, Nazis to power in 1933. Gauliga Bayern
The Gauliga Bayern was the highest association football league in the Nazi Germany, German state of Bavaria from 1933 to 1945. Shortly after the formation of the league, the Nazis reorganised the administrative regions in Germany, and the five ''Gau (administrative division), Gaue'' ''Gau Bayreuth, Bayreuth'', ''Gau Munich-Upper Bavaria, Munich-Upper Bavaria'', ''Gau Swabia, Swabia'', ''Gau Main Franconia, Main Franconia'' and ''Gau Franconia, Franconia'' ''de facto'' replaced the state of Bavaria which remained only as a symbolic region. Overview The league was introduced by the Nazi Sports Office in 1933, after the Machtergreifung, Nazi takeover of power in Germany and Bavaria. FC Wacker München
FC Wacker München is a German association football club of about 200 members based in the Sendling borough of Munich, Bavaria. At their zenith in the 1920s the ''Blue Stars'' twice reached the semi-finals of the German Championship. After World War II, the club spent a year in the first division play, but was primarily a third division side, then the highest amateur level in the country. TSV Schwaben Augsburg is a German football club which is part of a larger sports association whose origins go back to the 1847 formation of the gymnastics club Turnverein Augsburg. Richard Dombi
Richard Kohn (27 September 1888 – 16 June 1963) was an Austrian football player and later coach of FC Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona and Feyenoord Rotterdam. He was Jewish, born in Vienna. His nickname was ''Dombi'' or ''Little Dombi''. He was also known as John Little(s), Jack Domby, (the Hungarian wonder doctor), and Ricardo Domby. Kurt Landauer
Kurt Landauer (28 July 1884 – 21 December 1961) was a German football official. His profession was often listed as ''Kaufmann'' ("merchant"), he was head of the advertising department of the major Munich daily newspaper '' Münchner Neueste Nachrichten'', considered a precursor to ''Süddeutsche Zeitung'', which commenced publication after World War II. His claim to fame is his four tenures as the president of the football club FC Bayern Munich between 1913 and 1951. To date, he remains the president with the longest time in office. Landauer was born in Planegg (close to Munich), and joined Bayern in 1901 as a player. He had to leave for Lausanne shortly afterwards, but returned to Munich in 1905.
