1932–33 Yorkshire Cup
The 1932–33 Yorkshire Cup was the fifteenth occasion on which Rugby Football League's (RFL) Yorkshire Cup competition had been held. Leeds won the trophy by beating Wakefield Trinity by the score of 8-0 The match was played at Fartown, Huddersfield, now in West Yorkshire. The attendance was 17,685 and receipts were £1,183 This was Leeds' third of six victories in a period of ten years, during which time they won every Yorkshire Cup final in which they appeared Background This season there were no junior/amateur clubs taking part, no new entrants and no "leavers" and so the total of entries remained the same at fifteen. Featherstone Rovers are a professional rugby league club in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, England. The club play home games at Post Office Road and currently compete in the Championship, the second tier of British rugby league. Gilbert Robinson (born – death unknown) was a professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played at representative level for Great Britain (non- Test matches), and at club level for Wakefield Trinity and Castleford as a or . Playing career Club career Robinson made his début for Wakefield Trinity during November 1929. He played in Wakefield Trinity's 0–8 defeat by Leeds in the 1932 Yorkshire Cup Final during the 1932–33 season at Fartown Ground, Huddersfield on Saturday 19 November 1932. On 31 August 1933, he was signed by Barrow for a fee of £600. In August 1936, Robinson signed for Castleford. In April 1940, Robinson was charged with burglary and sentenced to two years imprisonment. Parkside, Hunslet
Parkside was a rugby league stadium in Hunslet, Leeds, England. It was home to Hunslet F.C. (1883), Hunslet F.C. rugby league club and the source of their nickname, the Parksiders. Hunslet R.L.F.C., Hunslet now play at the South Leeds Stadium which is less than half a mile from the former site of Parkside. The stadium Adjacent to the rugby pitch, there was a bowling green and a cricket ground. Parkside's surface had the reputation as being the best in the game and was often used by touring Australian teams as a training ground. Belle Vue, also known as the DIY Kitchens Stadium for sponsorship reasons, in Wakefield, England, is the home of Rugby League club Wakefield Trinity RLFC and, previously, Association Football club Wakefield A.F.C. It is on the A638 Doncaster Road, a mile south of Wakefield city centre. History Early years Wakefield Trinity originally played on Heath Common. In 1875–76, they moved to a ground near the Borough Market (near the current Trinity shopping centre). They returned to the Belle Vue area of Wakefield played on a ground behind the Alexandra Hotel near Elm Street. This is on the opposite side of the road from the present ground. It remains unconfirmed when Wakefield Trinity moved to the present ground as Belle Vue is both an area of Wakefield and the name of the ground and people can confuse a mention of one for the other. The Keighley Cougars are a professional rugby league club from Keighley in West Yorkshire, England. The club play home games at Cougar Park and compete in RFL League 1, League One, the third tier of British rugby league system, British rugby league. Keighley have never won a major honour.
