Ferencvárosi Torna Club, commonly known as Ferencváros (), Fradi, FTC is a Hungary, Hungarian professional Association football, football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football league system, Hungarian football. Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros. Géza Toldi
Géza Toldi (11 February 1909 – 16 August 1985) was a Hungarian footballer who played as a forward. He played for Ferencvárosi TC, and from 1934 to 1938 for the Hungarian national team, serving as captain in 1936. He scored a goal in the 1938 FIFA World Cup. Club career He grew up in the railway houses of Avar Street in Buda, Németvölgy. He began playing football in his place of residence, featuring for one of the local teams, ITE, in the fourth division of the youth championship, and he was pivotal in helping the club climb one division at a time almost every year, and in 1928 they also won the first division championship. In 1928, he was noticed at the youth federation's Christmas round-robin tournament. He received offers from several teams, including Oradea and Ferencvárosi, and in the end, he chose the latter, staying with them for more than a decade, until 1939, and again from 1942 to 1943. Árpád Klein
Árpád (; 845 – 907) was the head of the confederation of the Magyar tribes at the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries. He might have been either the sacred king, sacred ruler or ''kende'' of the Hungarians, or their military leader or ''Gyula (title), gyula'', although most details of his life are debated by historians, because different sources contain contradictory information. Despite this, many Hungarian people, Hungarians refer to him as the "founder of our country", and Árpád's preeminent role in the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin has been emphasized by some later chronicles. Hungária körúti stadion was a stadium in Józsefváros, Budapest, Hungary. The stadium opened in 1912 and served as the home for the MTK Budapest FC until 1945. The stadium was demolished during World War II, and a new stadium built in its place from 1946 to 1947. History MTK Budapest's arch rival Ferencváros opened its new stadium in 1911 which prompted MTK Budapest to start the construction of its new stadium. The growing number of spectators of MTK Budapest could not be accommodated at the Millenáris Sporttelep or at the MAC pitch. Gábor Szabó (footballer)
Gábor István Szabó (March 8, 1936 – February 26, 1982) was a Hungarian-American guitarist whose style incorporated jazz, pop, rock, and Hungarian music. Early years Szabó was born in Budapest, Hungary. He began playing guitar at the age of 14. In the aftermath of the Hungarian revolution of 1956, he moved to California, United States, and later attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston between 1958 and 1960. In a 1974 interview, Szabo said he fell in love with jazz listening to Voice of America: "I had to listen to the jazz stations very quietly at night--if they were not jammed--because listening to music from the Western world was an offense against the government." When the Soviet Union militarily suppressed Hungarian insurgents, Szabo was twenty. He escaped to an Austrian refugee camp, later emigrating to San Bernardino. Újpest Football Club () is a Hungary, Hungarian professional association football, football club based in Újpest, Budapest, that competes in Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Formed in 1885, Újpest reached the first division of the Hungarian League in Nemzeti Bajnokság I 1905, 1905 and has been relegated only once since then.
