Allsvenskan
Allsvenskan (; ), also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan (, ) is a professional association football league in Sweden and the highest level of the Swedish football league system. Founded in 1924, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan, the second highest league in the Swedish football, Swedish men's football league system. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Allsvenskan is currently ranked third highest among the leagues in Scandinavia, after UEFA coefficient#Current ranking, Norway and Denmark. IK Sleipner
Idrottsklubben Sleipner is a sports club in Norrköping, Sweden; the main sports are football and ten-pin bowling. It was founded in 1903, and named after the deity Odin's horse Sleipnir from Norse mythology. Currently, the club's senior men's team plays football in Division 2. They are mostly known for winning Allsvenskan in 1938, but have since been overshadowed by local rivals IFK Norrköping both locally and nationally. The rivalry in beginning 1900 up until 1950 was often fierce as IK Sleipner was the workingclass team whilst IFK Norrköping came from the academical class. The club is affiliated to the Östergötlands Fotbollförbund. In the early 20th Century, the club also played bandy. Sven Jonasson
Sven Jonasson (9 July 1909 – 17 September 1984) was a Swedish Association football, football Striker (association football), striker and Manager (association football), manager. Career He played for Sweden at the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was born in Borås and died in Varberg. He played for IF Elfsborg and the Sweden men's national football team, for whom he appeared in the 1934 FIFA World Cup, 1934 and 1938 FIFA World Cup, 1938 World Cups. He scored two goals in 1934 and one in 1938. Jonasson holds the record for most goals (252 goals) and most consecutive games (344 games, 1927–1941) in Allsvenskan (top level of Swedish football). In 1936 he is mentioned in a Danish source for playing as a "false 9" when playing against a team using a WM-formation. In the same article the Danish journalist compares Sven Jonasson to the English centreforward Ted Drake. Filip Johansson (footballer)
John Filip Valter Johansson (21 January 1902 – 1 November 1976) was a Swedish footballer who played as a striker. He was born in Surte, north of Gothenburg. He was nicknamed ''Svarte-Filip'', meaning ''Black-Filip'', referring to the pitch-black colour of his hair. He also played bandy in Surte IS. After starting his career playing for a local club, he also played for Fässbergs IF and Trollhättans IF before joining IFK Göteborg in 1924. He debuted in Allsvenskan the same year and set a record that season, scoring 39 goals in 21 matches. During his nine seasons in the club, he played 277 matches and scored 333 goals. He never won the Swedish Championships with the club, finishing second three times and third four times. He also played 16 matches for the Sweden national team, scoring 14 goals. Sven Rydell
Sven Åke Albert Rydell (14 January 1905 – 4 April 1975) was a Swedish footballer who played as a forward. He represented Holmens IS, Örgryte IS, and Redbergslids IK during a club career that spanned between 1920 and 1934. A full international between 1923 and 1932, he won 43 caps and scored 49 goals for the Sweden national team. He scored five goals at the 1924 Summer Olympics where Sweden finished third. He was the all-time leading scorer for the Sweden national team for more than 80 years before his record was overtaken by Zlatan Ibrahimović in September 2014. IFK Malmö Fotboll
IFK Malmö football team is a section of Swedish sports club IFK Malmö based in Malmö. The club is affiliated with Skånes Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Malmö Stadion. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are yellow, blue and white. But the original crest is only yellow (see below). Formed on 23 April 1899, the club have played thirteen seasons in Sweden's highest league Allsvenskan where they best finished as runners-up in 1960 and played their most recent season in 1962.
