1926–27 Western Football League
The 1926–27 season was the 30th in the history of the Western Football League. The Division One champions this season were again Bristol City F.C., Bristol City Reserves. The winners of Division Two were Poole Town F.C., Poole Reserves. Division Two Division Two was reduced from thirteen to ten clubs after Poole Town F.C., Poole and Lovells Athletic F.C., Lovells Athletic were promoted to Division One, and Bath City F.C., Bath City Reserves, Paulton Rovers F.C., Paulton Rovers and Malmesbury Victoria F.C., Swindon Victoria all left the league. Western Football League
The Western Football League is a association football, football league in South West England, covering Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, western Dorset, parts of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. The league's current main sponsor is Jewson, so it is also known as the Jewson Western League for sponsorship reasons. Recent restructuring of the English football league system has placed the two divisions, known as the Premier Division and Division One (each a maximum of twenty-two clubs) at the ninth and tenth tiers overall, known as Step 5 and Step 6 of the National League System. The champion club get promoted to a Step 4 league, which in practice will almost certainly be the Southern Football League, Southern League Division One South.
