1925–26 Netherlands Football League Championship
The Netherlands Football League Championship 1925–1926 was contested by 50 teams participating in five divisions. The national champion would be determined by a play-off featuring the winners of the eastern, northern, southern and two western football divisions of the Netherlands. SC Enschede won this year's championship by beating MVV Maastricht, Feijenoord, Stormvogels and Be Quick 1887. Eredivisie
The Eredivisie (; "Honour Division" or "Premier Division") is a professional association football league in the Netherlands and the highest level of the Dutch football league system. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. As of the 2024–25 season, it is UEFA coefficient#Men's association coefficient, ranked the sixth-best league in Europe by UEFA. The Eredivisie consists of 18 clubs. Each club meets every other club twice during the season, once at home and once away. The Ajax Sportsman Combinatie, usually known as ASC, is a Dutch football and cricket club, established in 1918 as a merger of the ''Leidsche Cricket- en Football-Club Ajax'' and ''Leidsche Athletiekvereeniging De Sportsman''. Ajax The ''Leidsche Cricket- en Football-Club Ajax'' was established on 1 June 1892, and played its first match in 1895. As the name indicates, the club was originally based in Leiden. Velocitas 1897 is an association football club from Groningen, Netherlands. Founded in 1897, it won the 1933–34 KNVB Cup. Velo, as the club is nicknamed, played professional football from 1955 to 1960. Quick 1888 (also referred to as Quick Nijmegen) is an amateur sporting club from Nijmegen, Netherlands. It was founded in 1888 as a cricket club and currently plays football in the Tweede Klasse, which is the fifth level of amateur football. FC Wageningen (before 1978 ''Wageningen'' and ''WVV Wageningen'') was a Dutch football club which was founded on 27 August 1911., The club played its matches in the Wageningse Berg stadium. Heracles Almelo is a Dutch professional football club based in Almelo, founded in 1903. The club has won the Dutch national title twice, in 1927 and 1941.
