Athens-Piraeus Football Clubs Association
The Greece Football Clubs Association (FCA) (, ''Enosi Podosferikon Somation (E.P.S.) Ellados''), founded in 1919 as the Athens-Piraeus FCA (, ''E.P.S. Athinon-Pireos''), was the first governing body of football in Greece, before the Hellenic Football Federation. Prior to the FCA's founding, football competitions had been organised by the Hellenic Amateur Athletic Association, the Committee of the Olympic Games, or local clubs. As evidenced by the association's name, it originally included clubs from Athens and Piraeus, however it eventually sought to attain a nationwide status, even staging a national final between the champions of Athens-Piraeus and Thessaloniki in 1923. However, it would collapse the following year, as disputes led to the creation of a separate Athens FCA. Greek nationalism, otherwise referred to as Hellenic nationalism, refers to the nationalism of Greeks and Greek culture.. As an ideology, Greek nationalism originated and evolved in classical Greece. In modern times, Greek nationalism became a major political movement beginning in the early 19th century, which culminated in the Greek War of Independence (1821–1829) against the Ottoman Empire. Greek nationalism became also a potent movement in Greece shortly prior to, and during World War I, when the Greeks, inspired by the Megali Idea, managed to liberate parts of Greece in the Balkan Wars and after World War I, briefly occupied the region of Smyrna before it was retaken by the Turks. Keratsini FC
Keratsini Football Club () is a Greek football club based in Keratsini, Greece. It plays in Piraeus FCA championship (EPS Piraeus). History Keratsini was founded in 1926 by Mpiskos and Diatsigkos with the name AO Neapoli, who later became ESKO IE, one of the Union Clubs Keratsini Orfeas. It was one of the four founding clubs of Piraeus FCA. In 1926, the team settled in Keratsini, renamed Athletic Football Club Keratsini. The Club took its final form in 1968 by merging with AO Amfiali. In 1991, the Keratsini first reached the Fourth Division and in 1994 in Gamma Ethniki. In 1994, the team lost the Greek Amateur Cup final on penalties (5–4). From 1997–2000 and 2004–2006, it again reached Gamma Ethniki League. For the 2006–2007 season, it competed in Regional League (Fourth Division) and it relegated to the local league.
