1919–20 Serbian Football Championship
The Serbian Football Championship season of 1919–20 was the first held after the end of the First World War. With the football championships still not organised at national level in the newly formed Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later renamed into Yugoslavia in 1929), the clubs from Serbia joined to play in this championship organised by the Serbian Football Federation (''Srpski loptački savez''). Serbian Football Championship
The Serbian Football Championship was the unofficial championship of Serbia organized by the Belgrade Football Subassociation (a Belgrade branch of the Football Association of Yugoslavia was covering territory of former Kingdom of Serbia, Vojvodina and Semberija, eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and had two editions in 1920 and 1921, before Subotica Football Subassociation started its own championship in 1922 in Bačka region. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a country in Southeast and Central Europe that existed from 1918 until 1941. From 1918 to 1929, it was officially called the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, but the term "Yugoslavia" () has been its colloquial name as early as 1922 due to its origins. It was originally formed as SK Velika Srbija in 1913 and changed its name to SK Jugoslavija in 1919. BUSK (football Club)
On 18 November 1993, just after midnight, a minibus was involved in a fatal collision with a maintenance vehicle on the M40 motorway near Warwick, England. The minibus was transporting 14 children home to Worcestershire from a school trip to the Royal Albert Hall in London when it veered into the rear of the motorway maintenance lorry which was stationary on the hard shoulder. Twelve of the children, and their teacher who was driving, died in the crash, which is one of the worst on the British road network. The Yugoslav First League ( Bosnian: Prva savezna liga u fudbalu, sr-Cyrl-Latn, Прва савезна лига у фудбалу, Prva savezna liga u fudbalu, , , , , ) was the premier football league in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992). The Serbian Super League (), also known as Mozzart SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Serbia and the highest level of the Serbian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Serbian First League. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro.
