1902–03 Catalan Football Championship
The 1902–03 Catalan Football Championship was the 3rd staging of the Catalan football championship, Championship of Catalonia. This season was peculiar because it comprised two different competitions held the same year. Due to disagreements between the reigning champion of the tournament, FC Barcelona, and some of the clubs invited, in 1902–03 two parallel competitions were held: an "official", the Copa Macaya organized by Hispania Athletic Club, Hispania AC and an "unofficial", the #Copa Barcelona, Copa Barcelona organized by FC Barcelona. Both are currently recognized as official by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, RFEF. Copa Macaya Summary The third and last edition of the Macaya Cup was to be contested by 5 teams: Club Espanyol, Hispania Athletic Club, Hispania AC, FC Barcelona, Club Universitari and FC Internacional. Bernardo Lassaletta
Bernado Lassaletta Perrín (20 August 1882 - 12 March 1948) was a Spanish industrial engineer, professor and footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona between 1901 and 1903. Biography He was an industrial engineer, professor of general metallurgy and electrical technology at the School of Industrial Engineers in Barcelona and professor of mathematics at the School of Directors of Electrical Industries. In 1910 he become the head of the testing laboratory of the company Siemens Schuckert Indústria Elèctrica SA in Catalonia. In 1921, Lassaletta joined the Barcelona as a full academician, and there he presented numerous papers and works. As a young man, he played football with FC Barcelona between 1902 and 1904. Together with the likes of Joan Gamper, Luis de Ossó, Udo Steinberg, and Carles Comamala, he helped Barça win the Copa Barcelona, netting a total of 5 goals in the tournament that was later recognized as the fourth edition of the Catalan Championship. ... 1910 Copa Del Rey
The Copa del Rey 1910 comprised two different competitions held the same year. Due to disagreements between the reigning champion of the tournament, Club Ciclista de San Sebastián, and some of the clubs invited, in 1910 two parallel competitions were held: an "official", organized by the newly created FECF (Federación Española de Clubs de Football), forerunner of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (), in Madrid and an "unofficial", organized by the UECF (Unión Española de Clubs de Football), in San Sebastián. Both are currently recognized as official by the RFEF. Copa UECF (Unión Española de Clubs de Football) The competition started on 19 March, and concluded on 21 March, with the last group stage match.
