1901–02 Copa Macaya
The 1901–02 Copa Macaya was the 2nd staging of the Copa Macaya. This tournament is best known for being the very first trophy won by the Spanish club FC Barcelona. The competition was held on the road between 22 December 1901 and ended on 12 March 1902. Overview The 1900–01 Copa Macaya, previous edition of the competition had been won by Hispania Athletic Club, Hispania AC, after beating Barcelona to the title by just two points. In the decisive game, Barcelona managed to score a winner against Hispania that would have forced a playoff for the title, but the goal was disallowed by the Referee (association football), referee due to a supposed offside, a decision heavily protested by the Barça players, in vain. Velódromo De La Bonanova
The Velódromo de la Bonanova was a sports venue in the city of Barcelona, Spain. It was the first velodrome in the city, although it was located in the neighboring municipality of Sant Gervasi – la Bonanova, Sant Gervasi, which in 1897 was annexed to the Catalan capital. Later it hosted other sports competitions, especially Association football, football, being the very first playing field of FC Barcelona. Luis De Ossó
Luis de Ossó Serra (17 October 1876 - 1 February 1931) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona. He was one of the most important footballers in the amateur beginnings of FC Barcelona, being among the 12 founders of the club in 1899, and then serving the club as a forward for six years, netting 68 goals in 72 appearances, thus contributing decisively in the conquest of Barça's first official titles, 1901–02 Copa Macaya, which was the club's first-ever official title, 1902–03 Copa Barcelona and the 1904–05 Catalan championship. John Parsons Alexander (14 April 1875 – 18 November 1960), was an Anglo-Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona. His younger brother, William, followed him every step through. Alfonso Albéniz
Alfonso Albéniz Jordana (11 September 1885 – 27 September 1941) was a Spanish footballer and referee, as well as a renowned chemical engineer, lecturer and later a diplomat. He is best known for being the first-ever player to play for both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, which he achieved when he moved out from Catalonia to the capital for study purposes. Joaquim Carril de Monasterio (23 January 1884 – 2 April 1948) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defender for RCD Espanyol. Samuel Alfredo Morris de Olea (1870 – 23 August 1935), was an Anglo-Filipino football pioneer who played as a goalkeeper and midfielder for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence. Joaquín García Cenarro (1875 – Unknown) was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona and Club Español (now known as RCD Espanyol). Although little has been recorded of his life, he was one of the most prominent footballers in the Copa Macaya, the first football championship played on the Iberian Peninsula, winning the competition with both Barça ( 1901–02) and Espanyol ( 1902–03). Hans Max Gamper-Haessig (; 22 November 1877 – 30 July 1930), commonly known as Joan Gamper (), was a Swiss-born football executive and versatile athlete.
