1900–01 FC Barcelona Season
The 1900–01 season was the List of FC Barcelona seasons, second season for FC Barcelona. Events On 23 September, Barcelona won its first-ever piece of silverware (a bronze object) after beating their biggest rival, Català FC, 3 to 1 courtesy of goals from Joan Gamper (2) and Otto Maier (footballer), Otto Maier. This was also the first match of the 1900–01 season and the last game played at the Velódromo de la Bonanova. On 18 November, Barcelona played its first match on a field next to the Hotel Casanovas, the club's second football pitch after Bonanova. They played against Hispania Athletic Club, Hispania AC and ended in a 0–0 draw. On 23 December, Barça played their first match against ''Societat Espanyola de Futbol'' (Society Spanish Football), which would later become RCD Espanyol. Gustavo Gren Córdoba (10 May 1880 – 9 November 1965), better known as Gustavo Green, was a Spanish Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward for FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol. After spending his childhood in a south London neighborhood, he settled in Barcelona and began playing Exhibition game, friendlies with Escocès FC, Català FC, and ''Team Roig''. John Parsons (footballer, Born 1875)
John Parsons Alexander (14 April 1875 – 18 November 1960), was an Anglo-Spanish footballer who played as a forward for FC Barcelona. His younger brother, William, followed him every step through. Together with his brother, he is regarded as one of the most important figures in the amateur beginnings of football in Catalonia, taking part in some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence such as '' Sociedad de Foot-Ball de Barcelona'', where he stood out as a great striker, netting some of the first goals in the history of Catalan football. Stanley Charles Harris
Stanley Charles Harris (1884 – 31 January 1909) was an English footballer who played as a forward for Spanish club FC Barcelona. He is best known for being the very first player in Barça's history to have been sent off during a match. Playing career Stanley Harris was born in Scotland, and in his native country he gained experience playing at Craven School in North Yorkshire. Arthur Witty
Arthur Witty Cotton, also known as Don Arturo, was a footballer, club president and businessman. Witty played for FC Barcelona in the first Copa del Rey final and later served as club president between 1903 and 1905. He was also a successful trader and his family company, the Witty Group, continues to operate today. He was the older brother of Ernest Witty. Miguel Valdés (footballer)
Miguel Valdés Padró (13 October 1867 - 5 May 1951) was a Spanish gymnast and footballer who played as a midfielder for Català FC and FC Barcelona. He was one of the founding members of Català FC in 1899, but immediately moved to city rivals FC Barcelona, which he helped to a win the 1901–02 Copa Macaya, the club's very first piece of silverware. Luis Puelles
Luis Puelles Pàmies (1877 – after 1902) was a Spanish footballer who played as a goalkeeper and defender for FC Barcelona. He played an important role in the conquest of Barça's first official titles, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya, which was the club's first-ever piece of silverware, and the 1902–03 Copa Barcelona.
