1893–94 French Rugby Union Championship
The 1893–94 French Rugby Union Championship was won by Stade Français that defeated Inter-Nos in the final. The tournament was played by five clubs from the Paris region, three from Paris :Stade Français, Racing Métro 92, Racing, and Inter-Nos, and two from Asnières-sur-Seine, Asnières : the Association Sportive d'Asnières and the Cercle Pédestre d'Asnières. The final was lost by In Inter-Nos, which had defeated C.P. Asnières in semifinal, and won by the Stade français that had ousted the Racing (9–0). Sir Alfred St Valery Tebbitt (10 December 1871 – 30 March 1941) was a French-British businessman. He was managing director of Kirby, Beard & Co. and British Chamber of Commerce, Paris, and of the Hertford British Hospital, Paris. Born in France, he was knighted in 1936, and was also a Chevalier of the Legion d'honneur (1928). He was the son of Charles Tebbitt and Emily Houston.
