''13'' is the first extended play by American hip-hop duo Ces Cru. It was released on August 28, 2012, via Strange Music. Produced by Info Gates, Seven, Jason "Koko" Bridges and SmartAlec, it features guest appearances from Info Gates, Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9NE. The EP debuted at number 156 on the ''Billboard'' 200, number 26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, number 18 on the Top Rap Albums, number 31 on the Independent Albums and number 6 on the Heatseekers Albums charts, with first-week sales of 2,900 copies in the United States. Ces Cru
Ces Cru (often stylized as CES Cru) was an American hip-hop group from Kansas City, Missouri, signed to independent record label Strange Music. The duo composed of members Donnie "Godemis" King and Mike "Ubiquitous" Viglione, but has had numerous members throughout the years. Ces Cru released their debut album ''Capture Enemy Soldiers'' in 2004. They went on to release ''Cesphiles, Vol. 1 Codename:irongiant'' (2008) and ''The Playground'' (2009). In 2010, the duo signed to Tech N9ne's record label Strange Music and have released the EP '' 13'' (2012) and ''Recession Proof'' (2015). Their first two studio albums on the label are '' Constant Energy Struggles'' (2013), and '' Codename: Ego Stripper'' (2014). The Heatseekers charts were "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper and singer. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and his music has been featured in film, television, and interactive media. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic firearm, semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming Chopper (rap), chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, stating that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with "tech" meaning technique and "nine" representing the number of completion. Hip-hop or hip hop (originally disco rap) is a popular music genre that emerged in the early 1970s from the African-American community of New York City.
