10th Infantry Division (Bangladesh)
The 10th Infantry Division () is a formation of the Bangladesh Army and one of the three divisions of Chattogram Division. It's located in the city of Cox's Bazar in southeastern Bangladesh. It was formed as part of the development vision of Bangladesh Armed Forces Forces Goal 2030.It has Alikadam Cantonment and Ramu Cantonment under it's jurdristriction. History Chattogram Division has a history of ethnic and religious strife. With a purpose of tackling the corresponding problem and protecting the new maritime boundary, it was necessary to increase army's capability in the area. Infantry
Infantry, or infantryman are a type of soldier who specialize in ground combat, typically fighting dismounted. Bandarban District
Bandarban District (), officially Bandarban Hill District, is a district in South-Eastern Bangladesh, and a part of the Chittagong Division. It is one of the three hill districts of Bangladesh and a part of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the others being Rangamati District and Khagrachhari District. 1st East Bengal Regiment or 1st Bengal also known by its nickname The Senior Tigers of Bangladesh Army. History 1st East Bengal Regiment is the oldest battalion of the East Bengal Regiment (the first of the two infantry regiments in the Bangladeshi Army, the other being the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment). Bangladesh Infantry Regiment
The Bangladesh Infantry Regiment (BIR) is an infantry regiment of the Bangladesh Army. It was raised in 2001 as the second infantry regiment after the East Bengal Regiment. The East Bengal Regiment () is one of the two infantry regiments of the Bangladesh Army, the other being the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment. East Bengal Regiment was founded by Major Abdul Gani.
