The 1060th Red Banner Center for Material-Technical Support (Russian: 1060 Краснознаменного центра материально-технического обеспечения) (1060 ЦМТО) (Military Unit Number 55443) is a unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation that supervises logistical support of the Russian Ground Forces, Russian Navy and Russian Aerospace Forces, Air and Space Forces within the territories of the Leningrad Military District. History On September 1, 2012, the 1060 Red Banner Center for Material-Technical Support was formed in the city of St. Petersburg, the city of Pushkin, Saint Petersburg, Pushkin. It was formed in accordance with directive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation dated May 28, 2012 No. D-037 "On organizational activities held in the Western Military District in 2012." Western Military District
The Western Military District () was a Military districts of Russia, military district of Russia, in existence from 2010 until its abolishment as a unitary military command on February 26, 2024, succeeded by the newly reconstituted Moscow Military District and Leningrad Military District. It was one of the five military districts of the Russian Armed Forces, with its jurisdiction primarily within the western central region of European Russia. The Western Military District was created as part of the 2008 Russian military reform, 2008 military reforms, and founded by Presidential Decree №1144 signed on 20 September 2010, as an amalgamation of the Moscow Military District, Leningrad Military District and Kaliningrad Special Region.
