Lado Davydov
Lado Shirinshayevich Davydov () (18 August 1924 – 30 July 1987), also known simply as Lado Davydov () was an Assyrian Soviet soldier during the Second World War. He is most well known for being decorated with Hero of the Soviet Union, and being one of only two Assyrians to have received the medal, alongside Assyrians in Armenia, Armenian Assyrian Sergei Sarkhoshov. Born in 1924, Davydov's family was originally from Iran and had settled in Russia after fleeing the Assyrian genocide. He joined the Red Army in 1941 and was awarded in 1944 after attaining a document outlining German defenses in Belarus. Early life Davydov was born on August 18, 1924 to an ethnically Assyrian people, Assyrian family in Vladikavkaz (in what is now North Ossetia–Alania). Vladimir Davydov
Vladimir Lvovich Davydov (; – ) was the second son of Lev and Alexandra Davydov, and nephew of the composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, who called him "Bob". Life From his earliest years, Davydov showed an aptitude for music and drawing, which was encouraged by his uncle. After he studied at the Imperial School of Jurisprudence in Saint Petersburg, however, Davydov decided on a military career and joined the Preobrazhensky Lifeguard regiment. He resigned his commission as a lieutenant in 1897Holden, p. 403. and moved to Klin, where he helped the composer's brother Modest create a museum to commemorate Tchaikovsky's life. Prone to depression, Davydov turned to morphine and other drugs before he died by suicide in 1906 at the age of 34. He is buried at the town's Dem'ianovo Cemetery. Vitali Semyonovich Davydov (), born 1 April 1939 in Moscow, is a retired Russian ice hockey player who spent his entire club career with HC Dynamo Moscow of the Top Soviet Hockey Championship. Vasily Vasilovich Davydov (31 August 1930 – 19 March 1998) was a Russian psychologist who led the Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education. In 1958 he joined Georgy Shchedrovitsky in founding the Commission for The Study of The Psychology of Thought and Logic In the 1980s he was Director of the Institute of General and Pedagogical Psychology in Moscow. Here he established a 'laboratory' where Felix Mikhailov, Vladimir Bibler, A.S. Arsen'ev and Georgy Shchedrovitsky. In 1983 he was removed from the institute and the laboratory was dissolved. He was born in Chernihiv in the Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine). Biography When the principal choirboy of the Imperial Court Capella, he drew the attention of the Empress Catherine II, who consigned him to the care of the Italian composer Giuseppe Sarti (1729–1802). Olga Mikhailovna Chernyavskaya, née Davydova, formerly Burova (; born 17 September 1963) is a Russian discus thrower. As Olga Burova, she won the gold medal at the 1993 World Championships.
