The Ștefan Dobay Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dumbrăvița, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches, is the home ground of CSC Dumbrăvița and has a capacity of 1,000 people (500 on seats). Dumbrăvița (, until 1906 ''Vadászerdő''; ; formerly Uisenteș and Sintești) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of a single village, Dumbrăvița. One of the most developed and rich communes in Romania, Dumbrăvița has become in recent years a suburb of Timișoara. Geography Dumbrăvița is located in the Timiș Plain, in the center of Timiș County, in the peri-urban area of Timișoara, to which it is attached. Clubul Sportiv Comunal Dumbrăvița, commonly known as CSC Dumbrăvița, FC Dumbrăvița, or simply as Dumbrăvița, is a Romanian football club based in Dumbrăvița, Timiș County, which competes in the Liga III. Founded in 2008, CSC Dumbrăvița played at the amateur level until 2018, when it promoted to the Liga III. The geographic positioning of Dumbrăvița, located near the city of Timișoara, resulted in a 168% population growth between the 2002 and 2011, and subsequently led to a significant increase in the economic strength of the commune in the recent years. Ștefan Dobay (, 26 September 1909 – 7 April 1994), was a Romanian footballer who played as a striker and manager. He mostly played for Ripensia Timișoara and the Romania national football team for whom he got 41 caps, scored 19 goals and he appeared at the 1934 and 1938 World Cups as a forward, scoring goals in each tournament. Club career Dobay, nicknamed "Calul" (The Horse) was born on 26 September 1909 in Újszentes, Austria-Hungary (today Dumbrăvița, Romania). In 1916, he lost his father on the battlefields of World War I. On 26 September 1924 when he turned 15, Dobay made his debut in senior football, playing for Unirea CFR Timișoara in a 5–2 victory against Jimbolia.
