Ștefan Bardan
Ștefan Bardan (14 September 1892 – ?) was a Romanian major general during World War II. After becoming an officer in the Romanian Army, he advanced to lieutenant colonel in 1933 and colonel in 1938. He served as commanding officer 11th Regiment in 1941, and later that year became commandant of the Infantry Instruction Center. In October 1941, Bardan was awarded the Order of Michael the Brave, 3rd class.Decretul Regal nr. 2.886 din 17 octombrie 1941 pentru conferiri de ordine, publicat în ''Monitorul Oficial'', anul CIX, nr. 248 din 18 octombrie 1941, partea I-a, p. 6.394. Gheorghe Avramescu
Gheorghe Avramescu (26 January 1884 – 3 March 1945) was a Romanian Lieutenant General during World War II. In 1945, he died in Slovakia during a German air attack, while under the arrest of the NKVD. Early life Avramescu was born Botoșani on 26 January 1884, the son of farmers Vasile and Aglaia Avramescu. He attended the A. T. Laurian High School between 1898 and 1906. He then enrolled in the Military School of Infantry and Cavalry in Bucharest, graduating in 1908 with the rank of second lieutenant, and being promoted to first lieutenant in 1911. After serving in the Second Balkan War in 1913, he was admitted to the Higher War School, and promoted to captain in 1915. Ilfov () is the Counties of Romania, county that surrounds Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Balotești is a Communes of Romania, commune in the northwestern part of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Two small rivers flow through this location: Cociovaliștea and Vlăsia. It is composed of three villages: Balotești, Dumbrăveni, and Săftica. Geography The commune is situated on the banks of the Cociovaliștea river. The settlements are located mainly on the right bank of the river with uninhabited territory on the right bank of the Vlăsia river, the tributary of Cociovaliștea. It is traversed by the DN1 national road, which connects Bucharest to Ploiești. The Fourth Army (Armata a 4-a Română) was a field army (a military formation) of the Romanian Land Forces active from the 19th century to the 1990s. Its successor is the 4th Infantry Division.
