Žiga Pance
Žiga Pance (born January 1, 1989) is a Slovenian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with HK Olimpija of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). He participated at several IIHF World Championships as a member of the Slovenia men's national ice hockey team. Playing career He joined Italian club, HC Bolzano, from his original hometown club, HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, as a free agent on October 16, 2013. On March 30, 2015, after two season in Bolzano, Pance left as a free agent to sign with fellow EBEL team, EC VSV EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV are an ice hockey team in the ICE Hockey League. Oshawa Generals
The Oshawa Generals are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. They are based in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The team is named for General Motors, an early sponsor (commercial), sponsor which has its Canadian headquarters in Oshawa. In November 2016, the General Motors Centre changed its name to Tribute Communities Centre. Its 184 graduates to the National Hockey League are second in the OHL. 2006–07 OHL Season
The 2006–07 OHL season was the 27th season of the Ontario Hockey League. The OHL announced its new checking to the head rule, effective for this season. Also announced, the recently adopted National Hockey League rule on stick curvature was not implemented until 2007–08. The season commenced on September 21, 2006, and twenty teams each played 68 games. The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds moved from Sault Memorial Gardens (demolished in May 2006) into the new Steelback Centre, which opened October 11, 2006. The Oshawa Generals moved mid-season from the Oshawa Civic Auditorium to the General Motors Centre, on November 3, 2006. The Plymouth Whalers won the J. Slovenian Hockey League
The Slovenian Hockey League () or the National Championship () is the highest level ice hockey league in Slovenia. The championship phase is contested after the regular season to determine the national champion. History The Slovenian Hockey League was firstly contested in the 1991–92 season, with the championship being held at the end as the play-offs. Over time, some Slovenian teams entered the Austrian Hockey League, and joined only for the play-offs. In the 2007–08 season there was an issue, as the Croatian team Medveščak qualified for the play-offs. As the Slovenian Champion could only be a team from Slovenia, they did not take part in the play-offs. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. Penalties are called and enforced by the Official (ice hockey)#Referees, referee, or in some cases, the Official (ice hockey)#Linesmen, linesman. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. When the opposing team is said to be on a ''Power play (ice hockey), power play'', they will have one more player on the ice than the short-handed team. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal).
