Žiedupė
The Žiedupė (or ''Žiedupys'') is a river of Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for and has a basin area of . It is a left tributary of the river Šušvė. It begins north to Josvainiai, nearby Šingaliai village. It flows mostly southwards and meets the Šušvė nearby Plaktiniai village. Josvainiai village, Pažiedupys and Plaktiniai are located on the banks of the Žiedupė. The name ''Žiedupė'' is a compound noun and derives from the Lithuanian words ''žiedas'' ('flower Flowers, also known as blooms and blossoms, are the reproductive structures of flowering plants ( angiosperms). Šušvė
Å uÅ¡vÄ— () is a river in central Lithuania, a right (the longest) tributary of the Nevėžis river. It begins in KelmÄ— district municipality, 6 km (4 mi) southeast from TytuvÄ—nai. The 134.6 km (83.6 mi) long river passes through TytuvÄ—nai and Sulinkiai Marshes and flows south through RadviliÅ¡kis district municipality. Finally, Å uÅ¡vÄ— passes through KÄ—dainiai district municipality and flows into the Nevėžis near Graužiai village. The width of the river valley is between 0.5 and 3 km. From December to March Å uÅ¡vÄ— is usually frozen. Dams were built at VaitiekÅ«nai and Angiriai ( Angiriai Reservoir). The Å uÅ¡vÄ— Hydrological Sanctuary was established in 1992 to protect the lower courses of the river. Plaktiniai (formerly , ) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 8 people. It is located from Josvainiai, by the Josvainiai-Vainikai road and the Žiedupė river. The Šušvė Landscape Sanctuary is located next to Plaktiniai. History The village has been known since 1595.
