Željko Bogut
Željko Bogut (born October 8, 1969, in Mostar, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian chess player and two time national champion, only player in Bosnia and Herzegovina who won title twice, in 2006 and in 2010. This second time earned him Grandmaster norm, GM norm. Biography Željko Bogut was born in Mostar. He learned to play chess as a five-year-old and became an active chess player in 1994, when he started playing for ''Hšk Zrinjski Mostar''. His first major win was achieved in Herzegovina in 1987. He played for ''Hšk Zrinjski Mostar'' until 1997. During that time, he was the champion of Herzeg-Bosnia in 1995 and tied for first place in the same contest in 1996. The same year he won an international tournament in Biel and in 1997, won the Open Tournament H-B in Mostar. Mostar

The 36th Chess Olympiad (; ), organized by the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) and comprising an openAlthough commonly referred to as the ''men's division'', this section is open to both male and female players. and a women's tournament, as well as several events designed to promote the game of chess, took place between October 14 and October 31, 2004, in Calvià on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Chessmetrics
Chessmetrics is a system for rating chess players devised by Jeff Sonas. It is intended as an improvement over the Elo and Edo rating systems. Implementation Chessmetrics is a weighted average of past performance. The score considers a player's win percentage against other players weighted by the ratings of the other players and the time elapsed since the match. A 10% increase in performance is equivalent to an increase of 85 rating points. The weighting of previous matches digresses linearly from 100% for just-finished matches to zero for matches conducted more than two years ago. Murtas Kazhgaleyev (; born 17 November 1973) is a Kazakhstani chess player who received the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM) in 1998. Chess career In 2004, he tied for first with Slim Belkhodja in the 27th Syre Memorial in Issy les Moulineaux. Kazhgaleyev competed in the Chess World Cup 2005: he knocked out Evgeny Alekseev in the first round to reach round two, losing to Teimour Radjabov and thus exiting the competition. He won the men's individual rapid tournament at the 15th Asian Games in Doha.
