Žalgiris Arena
Žalgirio Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the Centras (Kaunas), New Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The arena is located on an island of the Nemunas River and is the largest indoor arena in Baltic states, the Baltics. The arena's maximum possible seating capacity for basketball games is 15,415, and 20,000 spectators for concerts (when the stage is in the middle, and 17,000 when stage is in the side of the arena). The Žalgiris Arena replaced the Kaunas Sports Hall as a major venue in the city. The Žalgiris Arena hosts basketball and other sports matches, concerts, fairs, exhibitions, and various other events. The arena's namesake basketball club BC Žalgiris, which currently competes in the domestic Lietuvos krepšinio lyga, LKL and the EuroLeague, uses the facility for all of its European and LKL home fixtures. Kaunas
Kaunas (; ) is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius, the fourth largest List of cities in the Baltic states by population, city in the Baltic States and an important centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life. Litas
The Lithuanian litas (ISO currency code LTL, symbolized as Lt; plural ''litai'' (nominative) or ''litų'' (genitive) was the currency of Lithuania, until 1 January 2015, when it was replaced by the euro. It was divided into 100 centų (genitive case; singular ''centas'', nominative plural ''centai''). The litas was first introduced on 2 October 1922 after World War I, when Lithuania declared independence, and was reintroduced on 25 June 1993 following a period of currency exchange from the Soviet ruble to the litas with the temporary talonas then in place. Darius And GirÄ—nas Stadium
Darius and Girėnas stadium () is a multi-use stadium in Kaunas, Lithuania. With a seating capacity of 15,026, it is the largest stadium in Lithuania and the Baltic states. Located in the Ąžuolynas park in Žaliakalnis district, it serves as a venue for football matches, athletic competitions, and other events. In 1998, the stadium was renovated according to UEFA regulations, and in 2005, it was modernised with the installation of the biggest stadium television screen in the Baltic states. The latest renovation started in 2018 and ended in 2022. During the sporting season, at least 50 events are held here annually. Darius and Girėnas Stadium belongs to Žalgiris Group, which operates the largest Žalgirio Arena in the Baltic States and the Kaunas Sports Hall. The 2020–21 EuroLeague was the 21st season of the modern era of the EuroLeague and the 11th under the title sponsorship of Turkish Airlines. The 2019–20 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague was the 20th season of the modern era of the EuroLeague and the 10th under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 63rd season of the premier basketball competition for European men's clubs. The season started on 3 October 2019 and played its last games on 6 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
