Špela Kern (born 24 February 1990) is a Slovenian racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . She has competed in the women's road race at the UCI Road World Championships seven times between 2013, and 2022. 2018 European Road Cycling Championships
The 2018 European Road Cycling Championships was the 24th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, and took place from 12 to 15 July 2018 in Brno, Czech Republic for the under-23 and junior events, and from 5 to 9 August 2018 in Glasgow, United Kingdom for the elite events. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 6 time trials, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). The elite portion of the Championships in Glasgow formed a section of both a first unified UEC European Cycling Championships, and the first multi-sport European Championships. The Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite is a women's cycle race which takes place in October in the historic region of Emilia in Italy. It is the women's race of the Giro dell'Emilia – a longstanding event on the men's cycling calendar that was first held in 1909. The race is one of the autumn classics, alongside the Tre Valli Varesine race. The race was first held in 2014, becoming a UCI 1.1 race in 2015. Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge
The Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge is a professional road bicycle racing, cycle road race first held in 2019, which takes place between Vaison-la-Romaine and Mont Ventoux. The event was classified by the UCI as category 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour from 2019 to 2022. In 2023, the race joined the UCI ProSeries. The event was not held in 2024, as the proposed date clashed with the 2024 Summer Olympics torch relay held in the location, while the 2025 event was cancelled due to financial reason. Slovenian National Time Trial Championships
The Slovenian National Time Trial Championships have been held since 1991. Kristijan Koren (U23 category) set the best time in 2006 and 2007 Championships and beat all top riders (Elite), and repeated his successes at the National Time Trials and Slovenian National Road Race Championships, Road Race in 2009. The Slovenian Cycling Federation later issued a rule change so that U23 results counted only in their own category. After 2010, the potential U23 winner by time would become the absolute champion.
