Blanka Škodová (born 1 October 1997) is a Czech ice hockey goaltender and member of the Czech national team. She has played with Leksands IF in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with since June 2025. International play As a junior player with the Czech national under-18 team, she participated in the 2015 IIHF Women's U18 World Championships, at which she was selected as a top three player on the Czech team by the coaches. Škodová represented the Czech Republic at the IIHF World Women's Championships in 2016 and 2017, at the Division I Group A tournament in 2015. Eva Badura-Skoda
Eva Badura-Skoda (née Halfar; 15 January 1929 – 8 January 2021) was a German-born Austrian musicologist. Biography Born in Munich, Eva Halfar studied at the Vienna Conservatory and took courses in musicology, philosophy, and art history at the universities of Heidelberg, Vienna ( Erich Schenk), and Innsbruck (Ph.D., 1953, with the thesis ''Studien zur Geschichte des Musikunterrichtes in Österreich im 16., 17. und 18. Jahrhundert''). In 1951 she married Paul Badura-Skoda, with whom she collaborated on the volumes ''Mozart-Interpretation'' (Vienna, 1957; English transl., 1961; 2nd edition, rev., 1996) and ''Bach-Interpretation'' (Laaber, 1990; English transl., 1992). The couple had four children, including the pianist Michael Badura-Skoda (1964–2001); they separated later. In 1962 and 1963 she led summer seminars at the Salzburg Mozarteum. Henri Skoda
Henri Skoda (born 1945) is a French mathematician, specializing in the analysis of several complex variables. Skoda studied from 1964 at l'École normale supérieure and received there in 1967 his agrégation in mathematics. He received in 1972 his Ph.D. from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis under André Martineau (primary advisor) and Pierre Lelong (secondary advisor) with thesis ''Étude quantitative des sous-ensembles analytiques de Cn et des idéaux de functions holomorphes''. Skoda became a professor in Toulon and since 1976 has been a professor at the University of Paris VI. For many years he ran an analysis seminar with Pierre Lelong and Pierre Dolbeault. Joseph Škoda (; 10 December 1805 – 13 June 1881) was a Czech-born Austrian physician, medical professor and dermatologist. Together with Carl Freiherr von Rokitansky, he was the founder of the Modern Medical School of Vienna. Life Škoda was born in Plzeň (), Kingdom of Bohemia, Austrian Empire, as the second son of a locksmith. He attended the gymnasium at Plzeň, entered the University of Vienna in 1825, and received the degree of Doctor of Medicine on 10 July 1831. He first served in Bohemia as physician during the outbreak of cholera. In 1832–1838, he was assistant physician in the Vienna General Hospital. In 1839, he was city physician of Vienna for the poor. Paul Badura-Skoda (6 October 1927 – 25 September 2019) was an Austrian pianist. Career A student of Edwin Fischer, Badura-Skoda first rose to prominence by winning first prize in the Austrian Music Competition in 1947. In 1949, he performed with conductors including Wilhelm Furtwängler and Herbert von Karajan; over his long career, he recorded with conductors including Hans Knappertsbusch, Hermann Scherchen, and George Szell. Along with his contemporaries Friedrich Gulda and Jörg Demus, he was part of the so-called "Viennese Troika". He was best known for his performances of works by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, but had an extensive repertoire including many works of Chopin and Ravel.
