Shirvan () is a Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan, city in Azerbaijan, located on the Kura (Caspian Sea), Kura River. It was called ''Zubovka'' until 1938 and ''Əli Bayramlı (other), Ali Bayramli'' until 2008. From 1938 to 1954, Shirvan possessed the status of a village. It obtained the status of a city of Republican level on January 4, 1963. The territory of Shirvan is 72.7 km2, and the population is 87,400 according to the Census in Azerbaijan, 2020 census. Population density is 1226 persons per 1 km2. The city also includes the settlement of Hajigarahmanly and Bairamly. 98.5% of the population are Azerbaijani, while others - Russians, Ukrainians, Tatars, Turks, and other natives. Samadagha Shikhlarov
Samadagha Shikhlarov (; 5 September 1955 – 1 June 2021) was an Azerbaijani professional footballer who played as forward for Neftchi Baku PFC, Khazar, SKA Kiev, Chiraqqala Siyazan. Shikhlarov was well known for his heading ability, remembered for his two goals against Spartak Moscow in 1982. He played for the Neftchi Baku up to 152 times, by scoring 21 goals in Soviet Top League and twice for the Soviet Union Olympic national football team. He was appointed Neftchi's scout in March 2009. He moved to Olimpik-Shuvalan PFC Baku after Nazim Suleymanov's arrival at the club. Farida Mammadova
Farida Jafar gizi Mammadova (; 8 August 1936 – 8 December 2021) was an Azerbaijani historian who specialized in the history of ancient Caucasian Albania. She was a lecturer at the Western Caspian University and Baku State University and worked for the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Career Mammadova authored numerous research papers, articles and books on Azerbaijani ancient and medieval history. She lectured at the Baku State University, Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, and was the head of the Department of Humanities in the Western University in Baku. Farida Mammadova worked at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. Meskhetian Turks, also referred to as Turkish Meskhetians, Ahiska Turks, and Turkish Ahiskans, (; ka, მესხეთის თურქები ''Meskhetis turk'ebi'') are a subgroup of ethnic Turkish people formerly inhabiting the Meskheti region of Georgia, along the border with Turkey. Mardān is a city in the Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Located in the Valley of Peshawar, Mardan is the second-largest city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (after Peshawar).
