Ōme Station
is a passenger railway station located in the city of Ōme, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Lines Ōme Station is served by the Ōme Line, located 18.5 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Tachikawa Station. Station layout The station has two island platforms serving four tracks, with a station building connected to the platforms by an underground passage. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform (American English) or centre platform (British English)) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are sometimes used between the opposite-direction tracks on twin-track route stations as they are cheaper and occupy less area than other arrangements. They are also useful within larger stations, where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be accessed from opposite sides of the same platform instead of side platforms on either side of the tracks, simplifying and speeding transfers between the two tracks. The is a railway museum in Ōme, Tokyo, Japan. It opened in 1962, and is operated by the East Japan Railway Culture Foundation, a foundation established by East Japan Railway Company. Himitsu No Akko-chan
is an early magical girl manga series written and illustrated by Fujio Akatsuka. The story centers around an elementary school girl who is gifted a magic mirror that allows her to transform into anything she chooses, and the misadventures that follow. It was published in Shueisha's monthly ''Ribon'' magazine from 1962 to 1965. While ''Akko-chan'' predates the ''Sally the Witch'' manga, the ''Sally'' anime adaptation predates ''Akko-chan''s. Tachikawa Station
is a junction passenger railway station located in the city of Tachikawa, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). Lines Tachikawa Station is served by the Chūō Main Line, and is located 37.1 kilometers from the starting point of the line at Tokyo Station. It is also a terminal station, terminus for both the Ōme Line and Nambu Lines.
