is a Japanese figure skater. She is the 2014 Cup of Nice silver medalist, 2014 Gardena Spring Trophy silver medalist, and 2013 Triglav Trophy silver medalist. At the Junior level, she is the 2012 JGP Germany silver medalist, 2013 JGP Estonia bronze medalist, and the 2010 Japanese Junior national bronze medalist. Career Oba started skating at age 10. Oba made her international debut at the 2010 Cup of Nice. Competing on the senior level, she finished 7th. After winning the bronze medal at the 2010–11 Japanese Junior Championships, she was assigned to the 2011 World Junior Championships, where she finished 8th. Shōgyo Ōba
was a Japanese maki-e lacquer artist. He began practicing the art of maki-e lacquerware in Kanazawa in 1945. Shōgyo was named a Living National Treasure of Japan in 1982 for his expertise in maki-e lacquerware. Shōgyo was born Ōba Katsuo on March 15, 1916, in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. His grandfather had established the family lacquer business. Shōgyo graduated from Ishikawa Prefectural Industrial School, where he studied painting and design. Shōgyo then became an apprentice of Matsuda Gonroku in Tokyo. He especially skilled in the technique of hyōmon, in which pieces of gold or silver cut lead are attached to decorative objects, often to round objects, such as vases, which can be difficult to apply this technique. Sakae Ōba
(21 March 1914 – 8 June 1992) was an Officer (armed forces), officer of the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. He served in both China and in the Pacific War, Pacific campaign. After Japanese forces were defeated in the Battle of Saipan, he led a group of soldiers and civilians deep into the jungle to evade capture by Allied forces. Under Ōba's leadership, the group survived for over a year after the battle and finally surrendered in December 1945, three months after the war had ended. Following his return to Japan, he became a successful businessman and served on the city council of Gamagōri. is a development department within Japanese video game company Sega Corporation that also previously existed as Wow Entertainment and AM1 spent most of its early existence under the leadership of Rikiya Nakagawa and developed a number of arcade games for Sega. Masao Ohba
was a Japanese professional boxer. He became the WBA flyweight World Champion on October 22, 1970, defeating the reigning champion Berkrerk Chartvanchai in Tokyo and retained the championship for an impressive five title defenses.
