Łukasz Jarmuła
Łukasz Jarmuła (born 10 November 1998) is a Polish chess Grandmaster (GM) (2021). Biography Łukasz Jarmuła started in the individual Polish Youth Chess Championships in 2010 in Wisła, where he took 6th place. He won the medals of the Polish Youth Chess Championships four times: gold in Szczyrk in 2013 in U16 age group, silver in Jastrzębia Góra in 2014 in U16 age group, silver in Karpacz in 2015 in U18 age group and gold in Szklarska Poręba in 2016 in U18 age group. Łukasz Jarmuła was also a five-time silver medalist of the Polish Youth Rapid Chess Championships (Warsaw 2010 - U12 age group, Warsaw 2012 - U14 age group, Wrocław 2014 - U16 age group, Katowice 2015 - U18 age group and Koszalin 2016 - U18 age group) and a five-time medalist of the Polish Youth Blitz Chess Championships (including gold in Warsaw 2012 - U14 age group and Wrocław 2014 - U16 age group). World Youth Chess Championship
The World Youth Chess Championship is a FIDE-organized worldwide chess competition for boys and girls under the age of 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. History Twelve world champions are crowned every year. Since 2015 (OR 2016), the event has been split into "World Cadets Chess Championship" (categories U8, U10 and U12) and "World Youth Chess Championship" (categories U14, U16 and U18). Polish Chess Championship
Individual Polish Chess Championship is the most important Polish chess tournament, aiming at selecting the best chess players in Poland. Based on the results of the tournament (mainly), the Polish Chess Federation selects the national and subsequently the olympiad team. The first men's championship took place in 1926, and the first women's event in 1935, both in Warsaw. Between the First and the Second World War, four men's finals and two women's took place. After the Second World War, the tournament has taken part annually, with minor exceptions. In most cases, they are round-robin tournaments, where men's groups are of 14-16 players, while the women's are 12 to 14. Grandmaster (GM) is a Chess title, title awarded to chess players by the world chess organization FIDE. Apart from World Chess Championship, World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain.
