Jonasz Kofta
Jonasz Kofta, real name: Janusz Kofta (28 November 1942 窶 19 April 1988) was a Polish songwriter and a poet who was born in Mizocz, Volhynia and died in Warsaw. The Kofta family came to Warsaw after the Second World War and later lived in WrocナBw and Poznaナ. Jonasz's father was a Jew. In 1961 Kofta received his Matura in High School of Arts in Poznaナ and began to study painting in Warsaw. By that time he had begun to write poetry and cabaret numbers. In 1962, together with Adam Kreczmar and Jan Pietrzak, he opened the student cabaret club ''Hybrydy'' in Warsaw. In 1964 he became the literary director of the cabaret. Starting in 1966 his poems, satires and song lyrics were published in newspapers. From 1968 to 1980 he often worked with Kreczmar and Pietrzak at ''Pod Egida'', one of the most popular Polish cabarets. Agnieszka Osiecka
Agnieszka Osiecka (Polish pronunciation: ; 9 October 1936 窶 7 March 1997) was a Polish poet, writer, author of theatre and television screenplays, film director and journalist. She was a prominent Polish songwriter, having authored the lyrics to more than 2000 songs, and is considered an icon of Polish culture. Life and career Osiecka was born in Warsaw, the only child of Wiktor Osiecki, a pianist and composer of Serbian, Romanian-Vlachs, Vlach and Hungarian descent, and a scholar Maria Sztechman. She spent her early years in Zakopane where her father played the piano at the Watra Restaurant. After World War II the Osiecki family moved to Warsaw and settled in the Saska Kト冪a borough. Alicja Majewska (born May 30, 1948 in WrocナBw, Poland) is a Polish singer. From 1971 to 1974, she was a member of the band Partita as a vocalist.
