Ľudmila Cervanová
Ľudmila Cervanová (; born 15 October 1979) is a former tennis player from Slovakia. She turned professional in 1997, and reached career-high rankings of world No. 58 in singles in March 2004 and No. 186 in doubles in May 1997. Biography Cervanová graduated from high school in 1997, the same year she turned pro. Her favourite tennis court surface is clay, and her best shot is the backhand. She was coached by Jan Kuval. Tennis career Cervanová did not win any title on the WTA Tour. Her closest being in Acapulco, on 27 February 2005, when she lost in the final to Flavia Pennetta in three sets. She has also reached the final of the tournament in Casablanca in 2004, where she lost to Émilie Loit of France, the semifinals of Bratislava in 2001, where she lost to eventual winner Rita Grande from Italy and the semifinals of Bogotá in 2006, losing to Lourdes Domínguez Lino in straight sets. Piešťany
Piešťany (; , , , ) is a town in Slovakia. It is located in the western part of the country within the Trnava Region and is the seat of its Piešťany District, own district. It is the biggest and best known spa town in Slovakia and has around 28,000 inhabitants. The Morocco Open or Rabat Grand Prix (for sponsorship reasons called the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem), is a women's professional tennis tournament currently held in Rabat, Morocco. This WTA Tour event is classified as an International tournament and is played on outdoor clay courts. Tímea Babos is the doubles record holder with three wins. Patricia Wartusch, Émilie Loit, Iveta Benešová, Maya Joint won both singles and doubles titles the same year. History The event started in July 2001 in Casablanca, Morocco. It stayed in that city until 2005, when it was moved to Rabat the first time. In 2007, the tournament changed location again, this time to Fez. In 2013 it was relocated to Marrakesh, before returning to Rabat in 2016. The tournament is named after Princess Lalla Meryem, the sister of Mohammed VI, King of Morocco. Rita Kuti Kis (born 13 February 1978) is a former professional tennis player from Hungary. In 1992, she was beaten by future international No. 1, Martina Hingis, in the Petits As competition, a juniors tournament at Tarbes, France which has been renowned for the discovery of young tennis talent. Kuti Kis's most successful year was 2000, when she scored her one and only WTA Tour singles title in São Paulo. In the same year, she reached the third round of the French Open (losing to Monica Seles) and defeated then up-coming Jelena Dokić in the first round of the Australian Open.
