İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor, also known simply as İstanbul BŞB or Istanbul BB, is a professional basketball club based in Istanbul, that plays in the Turkish Basketball Second League, the third tier of Turkey's basketball pyramid. Their home arena is Cebeci Sport Hall. The club is a part of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K., İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü. History İstanbul BŞB basketball was founded in 2000, as a branch of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi S.K., İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü. The team began playing in the lower divisions of Turkish basketball league systems for 2000 season with amateur players. The team became professional in 2006 and the team played in EBBL for 2006 to 2009. In 2009, the team promoted to Turkish Basketball First League, TB2L from EBBL. Turkish Basketball Second League
The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is Turkish basketball league system, the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L). Format and promotion and relegation Regular Season Competitions, twenty-five (25) teams; are divided into one (1) group of nine (9) teams and two (2) groups (A-B-C) of eight (8) teams. 2017–18 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2017–18 FIBA Europe Cup was the third season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 20 September 2017, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded with the second leg of the final on 2 May 2018. Steponas Babrauskas (born June 20, 1984) is a Lithuanian professional basketball coach and former player. He currently serves as assistant coach at CBet Jonava. Professional career Babrauskas was a runner-up in the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) with Lietuvos Rytas, in 2004. He won the Latvian Basketball League (LBL) with ASK Riga, in 2007.
