İrfan Saraloğlu
İrfan Saraloğlu (born 16 September 1962, in Ardeşen-Rize) is a Turkish soccer coach and former professional soccer player. He is currently an assistant manager at Galatasaray S.K. He played professionally for 14 years. Club career He played for Çaykur Rizespor, Sivasspor, Maltepespor, Erdemir Ereğlispor, Düzcespor, Siirtspor and Keşanspor. Coaching career He qualified his A category coaching licence in 1995. He has worked for Fenerbahçe S.K. and Fenerbahçe Youth Academy from 2004 until 2012. He also worked at West Ham United in 2000. Since 2012 he is assisting coach for Okan Buruk, who currently manages Galatasaray. Personal life His son Utku Saraloğlu is a professional basketball player. The Turkish Super Cup, known as Turkcell Super Cup () for sponsorship reasons, is a super cup tournament in Turkish football. Founded in 1966 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2025 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Turkish Cup and Süper Lig. It was originally known as the ''Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası'' (Presidential Cup) from 1966 to 1998. The 2024–25 Turkish Cup () was the 63rd edition of the tournament. Ziraat Bank was the main sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name was Ziraat Turkish Cup. The winners of the cup qualified for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League play-off round and the 2025 Turkish Super Cup. The 2023–24 Süper Lig, officially called the Trendyol Süper Lig 2023–24 season, was the 66th season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The fixtures were announced on 18 July 2023 at 21:30 (UTC+3). The defending champions Galatasaray successfully retained their title. On 12 December 2023 it was announced that the league was suspended indefinitely following Ankaragücü president Faruk Koca's punching of referee Halil Umut Meler after their home match against Rizespor. The 2019–20 Süper Lig, officially called the Süper Lig Cemil Usta season, was the 62nd season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season was named after Cemil Usta, a former Turkey national team player and Trabzonspor legend. Galatasaray were the defending champions. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system.
