İbrahim Karagül
İbrahim Karagül (born 1969 in Sinlice, Şalpazarı, Trabzon Province) is a Turkish journalist and a former editor in chief of the newspaper ''Yeni Şafak''. Education and early life He attended primary school in Sinlice, secondary education he received in Rize, Ordu and Trabzon. He graduated from the Imam Hatip school in Trabzon. He studied law at the Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir. Since his student years, he worked in various media and worked as foreign news editor. He also stayed in Malaysia for a while, and translated a novel of the Malaysian author Shahnon Ahmad into Turkish. Professional career Karagül started working in ''Yeni Şafak'' in 1995, and is known for his articles and columns focusing on foreign politics. He was appointed as the general editor of television in 2011. Then in July 2012, Karagül was appointed the editor-in-chief of ''Yeni Şafak'' of the Albayrak holding. Şalpazarı
Şalpazarı is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Trabzon Province, Turkey. Its area is 161 km2, and its population is 10,434 (2022). The mayor is Refik Kurukız (Nationalist Movement Party, MHP). Şalpazarı is a home to sizeable Chepni people, Chepni population. Şalpazarı has a stream, creek called Ağasar creek, Ağasar. 2019 Turkish Offensive Into North-eastern Syria
On 9 October 2019, the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and the Syrian National Army (SNA) launched an offensive against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and later it involved the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northern Syria. It was code-named the Operation Peace Spring () by Turkey. On 6 October 2019, the First presidency of Donald Trump, Trump administration ordered American troops to withdraw from northeastern Syria, where the United States American-led intervention in the Syrian Civil War, had been supporting its Kurdish allies. The military operation began on 9 October 2019 when the Turkish Air Force launched airstrikes on Syria–Turkey border, border towns.
