Čiflik () is a village in the municipality of Pehčevo, North Macedonia. Demographics According to the statistics of Bulgarian ethnographer Vasil Kanchov from 1900 the settlement is recorded as Čifliko as having 357 inhabitants, all Bulgarian Exarchists. According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 321 inhabitants. Vehicle Registration Plates Of North Macedonia
North Macedonia's vehicle registration plates consist of a two-letter region code, followed by a 4-digit numeric and a 2-letter alpha code (e.g. SK 1234 AB). Bulgarian Millet
Bulgarian millet () was an ethnoreligious group, ethno-religious and speech community, linguistic community within the Ottoman Empire from the mid-19th to early 20th century. The semi-official term, was used by the Sultan for the first time in 1847, and was his tacit consent to a more ethno-linguistic definition of the Bulgarians as a nation. This resulted in the rise of a Bulgarian St. Stephen Church in the Ottoman capital Constantinople in 1851. Vasil Kanchov
Vasil Kanchov (26 July 1862 – 6 February 1902) was a geographer, ethnographer and teacher who served as Minister of Education of Bulgaria. Early life and education Vasil Kanchov was born in Vratsa. Upon graduating from High school in Lom, Bulgaria, and later he entered the University of Harkov, then in the Russian Empire. During the Serbo-Bulgarian War 1885 he suspended his education and took part in the war. Later, he went on to pursue studies at universities in Munich and Stuttgart, but in 1888 he interrupted his education again due to an illness. Career In the following years Kanchov was a Bulgarian teacher in Macedonia. The Pehčevo Municipality ( ) is a municipality in the eastern part of North Macedonia. Pehčevo is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is located.
