Rudolf Červený
Rudolf Červený (born August 6, 1989) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played under contract with Barys Astana in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Playing career He made his professional debut playing with hometown club, HC České Budějovice in the Czech Extraliga during the 2006–07 Czech Extraliga season. Červený then played two North American major junior season for Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League, before returning to his native Czech Republic undrafted, and returning to České Budějovice and playing on loan with HC Tábor and IHC Písek. After 5 seasons with Mountfield HK, Červený opted to pause his Extraliga career, opting to sign a one-year contract with Slovakian club, HC Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on May 31, 2018. Václav František Červený
Václav František Červený (27 September 1819 – 19 January 1896) was a Czech brass instrument maker and inventor. He became the principal manufacturer of such instruments in Austria-Hungary. Inventions Červený was a prolific inventor, rivalling his Belgian contemporary Adolphe Sax in output and recognition. Many of his inventions were widely copied despite his patents, especially in France. One of his significant inventions was a process for drawing a conical-bore tube from solid brass, which he used to create several instruments with widely flaring conical bores. The ''Cornon'', patented in 1844 as a substitute for the french horn in military bands, inspired the later Wagner tuba. Červený Kameň
Červený Kameň () is a village and municipality in Ilava District in the Trenčín Region of north-western Slovakia. Etymology Both Slovak and Hungarian names mean "red stone". The first written mention about the village is "''possesio seu willa Wewreskew''" (1439). ''Cherweny Kamen'' (1484) later also ''Rothenstein'' (1808). History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1439. On 20 August 2015, two planes collided over the village. All 7 people on board were killed but the other 31 parachists jumped before both aircraft crashed. Geography The municipality lies at an altitude of 361 metres and covers an area of 32.584 km2. It has a population of about 757 people. Červený Kameň Castle
Červený Kameň Castle (, , ) is a 13th-century castle in southwestern Slovakia in the Little Carpathians near the village of Častá. History A stone castle was built by Tiburtius Rosd or his descendants in the 13th century as part of the chain of the Kingdom of Hungary’s frontier defense castles ranging from Pressburg to Žilina (). This castle was completely rebuilt as a fortress in the first half of the 16th century. When the Pálffy family acquired the castle in 1588, the fortress was completed, and it became a representative noble castle. Although the castle was damaged several times by fire, it was always reconstructed by the Pálffys, who were the owners of the castle until the Second World War. Today, the castle is a museum. Červený Kláštor
Červený Kláštor (, , Gorals#Language, Goral: Švaby, ) () is a small village and municipality in the far north Kežmarok District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia, near the Polish border, in the Zamagurie region. History A Camaldolese monastery was established on this location, then part of the Habsburg-ruled Kingdom of Hungary, in 1710. In 1782, it was secularized as part of Emperor Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor, Joseph II's campaign against monastic orders that, in his view, didn't pursue useful activities. The monastery building still exists however (see photo). The present village was founded in 1828. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, Červený Kláštor was part of Szepes County within the Kingdom of Hungary.
