Černé Jezero
Černé jezero (, meaning "Black Lake") in the Bohemian Forest is the largest and deepest natural lake in the Czech Republic. This triangle, triangular lake surrounded with spruce forest is located about 6 km northwest of Železná Ruda under a 300-metre-high cliff on Jezerní hora (1,343 m). It is of glacial lake, glacial origin, a product of the Würm glaciation. The water in the lake is oligotrophic. There is a natural outflow through ''Černý potok'', a short stream which is a tributary of the Úhlava, Úhlava River. The main European water divide runs across the mountain just above the lake. As a consequence, Černé jezero belongs to the Drainage basin, water basin of the Elbe, which finds the North Sea, while Čertovo jezero just 2 km away drains into the Danube and thence the Black Sea. Železná Ruda
Železná Ruda (; ) is a town in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,600 inhabitants. It is one of the important sports and tourist centres of the Bohemian Forest. Lawrence Martin-Bittman (14 February 1931 – 18 September 2018), formerly known as Ladislav Bittman, was an American artist, author, and retired professor of disinformation at Boston University. He was best known for his 1983 book, '' The KGB and Soviet Disinformation: An Insider's View''. Prior to his defection to the United States in 1968, he served as an intelligence officer specializing in disinformation for the Czechoslovak Intelligence Service. Operation Neptune (Espionage)
Operation Neptune was a 1964 disinformation operation by the secret services of Czechoslovakia ( State Security) and the Soviet Union (KGB) and involved fake Nazi-era documents that were found in submerged chests. Operation Neptune's objectives were to discredit Western politicians by revealing the names of former Nazi informants whom they were still using as spies in Eastern Europe and to place pressure on West Germany to extend the statute of limitations on the prosecution of war criminals, including extending the statute of limitations. Czechoslovak Border Fortifications During The Cold War
From 1946 to 1964, Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, Czechoslovakia built fortifications along the south and south-western frontier, on the common border with the capitalist countries of West Germany and Austria.
