á Eiðinum is a multi-use stadium in Vágur, which is one of the larger villages in the southernmost island Suduroy in the Faroe Islands. It is currently used mostly for Association football, football matches and is the home ground of FC Suðuroy, formerly called VB/Sumba (until 31 Dec. 2009). The stadium holds 3,000 people, but has only 330 seats. Vágshøll - The Sports Hall of Vágur Next to the Football Stadium on Eiðinum in Vágur is a sports hall, which is called Vágshøll. Hvalba
Hvalba () is a village and a municipality in the Faroe Islands, which consists of Hvalba, Nes-Hvalba and Sandvík. The village spreads around the bottom of a deep inlet, Hvalbiarfjørður, in the northeast of Suðuroy. Population Hvalba is one of the larger villages in the Faroe Islands. The total population of Hvalba Municipality (''Hvalbiar Kommuna'') is 639 as of March 2022; the population of Hvalba is 569 and the population of Sandvík is 70. The small village Nes is often called Nes-Hvalba, because there are two other villages with the same name. Nes is located on the southern arm of the fjord Hvalbiarfjørður, opposite of Hvalba. Jón Pauli Olsen (born 17 August 1968) is a former manager for the Faroe Islands women's national football team. He was also manager for the Faroe Islands Women's U17 national team. Pól Thorsteinsson
Pól Thorsteinsson (born 17 November 1973 in Vágur, Suðuroy) is a retired Faroese football player. He has been spent most of his career in the Faroe Islands, while he had brief stints in Iceland and Denmark. At the end of his career Pól Thorsteinsson played with VB/Sumba, who won the Faroese 1. division; in 2010 they changed their name to FC Suðuroy, and the team will be playing in the best division Vodafonedeildin, but Pól Thorsteinsson decided to end his football career at the end of the 2009 season. Sumba, Faroe Islands
Sumba is the southernmost village of the Faroe Islands, located on the island of Suðuroy. It is located in Sumbiar Municipality. Municipality The municipality has 342 inhabitants (as of March 2023). 254 of these people live in Sumba. The other villages in the Municipality of Sumba are: Lopra (76 inhabitants), Akrar (12 inhabitants), and formerly Víkarbyrgi (0 inhabitants).
