Þórunn Erna Clausen (born 12 September 1975) is an Icelandic actress and songwriter. Clausen is the daughter of Olympic athlete and dentist Haukur Clausen. She studied drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London and graduated in 2001. In 2004, Clausen won an Edda Award for her supporting role in the Icelandic film, ''Dís''. Clausen was married to the musician Sjonni Brink who together composed "Coming Home (Sjonni's Friends song), Coming Home", Iceland's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Brink died before his first performance in the third semi-final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2011. Þórunn Jónassen, also Þórunn Hafstein Pétursdóttir (1850–1922) was an Icelandic feminist, the first chair of Thorvaldsensfélagið (Thorvaldsen's Society), Iceland's oldest women's association, a post she maintained for 47 years. She was also one of four pioneering women who were elected to Reykjavík's city council in 1908. Alongside her in City Council were three other newly elected women; Bríet Bjarnhéðinsdóttir, Guðrún Björnsdóttir and Katrín Magnússon. Þórunn Helga Jónsdóttir (born 17 December 1984) is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays for KR as a defensive midfielder. Þórunn Helga is part of Iceland's national team and has played professional football in Brazil. Thorunn Ormsdottir (''Þórunn Ormsdóttir''; died 1431) was the abbess of the Benedictine convent Reynistaðarklaustur in Iceland 1402–1431. Thorunn Ormsdottir assumed the position of abbess and took the responsibility of the convent and its lands after the former abbess and several of the nuns died in the Black plague in 1402. She was, however, never formally ordained as such. During the last year of her tenure, her convent was the center of a great scandal, when one of its members, Thora Illugadottir, had a child with the priest Thorthur Hrobjartsson, who was forced by the Bishop to make a pilgrimage to Rome.
