Þorgrímur Þráinsson (born 8 January 1959 in Reykjavík), is an Icelandic writer, motivational speaker and former footballer. He has been a spokesperson for health, humanity and justice. Bessastaðir (, ) is the official residence of the president of Iceland. It is situated in Álftanes ( Garðabær Municipality), about from the capital city, Reykjavík. History Bessastaðir was first settled in 1000. It became one of Snorri Sturluson's farms in the 13th century. After Snorri's murder in September 1241, Bessastaðir was claimed by the King of Norway. Tobacco display bans are in place in several countries and regions: Australia, Canada, Croatia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Macao, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. The implementation differs, but the ban in most jurisdictions mandates that shops and stores that sell tobacco products keep the products out of sight of customers, under the counter, or in special cabinets. Tobacco products can only be shown on request from customers. The idea behind the regulation is that people would be less inclined to smoke if they can not see the products.
