Üsküdar University is a foundation university established in 2011 in Üsküdar, Istanbul, Turkey by the Human Values and Mental Health Foundation under the leadership of Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, who served as the president. The law concerning the establishment of the university was published in the Official Gazette on March 3, 2011, under number 27863. Founded with the title of "Türkiye's first thematic university", Üsküdar University welcomed its first students in the 2012-2013 academic year. In June 2014, the university graduated its first students. NP Feneryolu Medical Center and NP Etiler Medical Center became part of Üsküdar University as of October 2011, forming the "NPSUAM Neuropsychiatry Health, Practice, and Research Center." In 2011, the Graduate School of Social Sciences and the Graduate School of Health Sciences were put into operation with the establishment of the university. Altunizade
Altunizade is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Üsküdar, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 13,459 (2022). It is located on the Asian side of the city. The location takes its name from Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Pasha (1806–1887), a wealthy civil servant in the Ottoman Empire, who established the settlement in an utmost area on the Anatolian part of Istanbul in the 19th century. "Altunizade" means gold trader in the Ottoman Turkish language. Ümraniye
Ümraniye () is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Istanbul Province, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its area is 46 km2, and its population is 723,760 (2023). It was separated from Üsküdar in 1987. It is bordered by Çekmeköy to the northeast, Sancaktepe to the east, AtaÅŸehir to the south, Üsküdar to the west and Beykoz to the northwest. Turkish Space Agency
The Turkish Space Agency (, TUA) is a government agency for national aerospace research as a part of the space program of Turkey. It was formally established by a presidential decree on 13 December 2018. Headquartered in Ankara, the agency is subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Technology. With the establishment of TUA, the Department for Aviation and Space Technologies at the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure was abolished.
