NevÅŸehir Province
Nevşehir Province () is a Provinces of Turkey, province in central Turkey with its capital in Nevşehir. Its area is 5,485 km2, and its population is 317,952 (2024). Its adjacent provinces are Kırşehir Province, Kırşehir to the northwest, Aksaray Province, Aksaray to the southwest, Niğde Province, Niğde to the south, Kayseri Province, Kayseri to the southeast, and Yozgat Province, Yozgat to the northeast. Kayseri Province
The Kayseri Province () is a province and metropolitan municipality in central Turkey. Its area is 16,970 km2, and its population is 1,441,523 (2022). It borders with Sivas, Adana, NiÄŸde, KahramanmaraÅŸ, Yozgat and NevÅŸehir provinces. The province is an area that has been linked with mythological stories as well as important figures in Turkish history. Ortahisar, NevÅŸehir
Ortahisar ( Turkish: ''Middle Castle''), previously known by its Byzantine name PotamÃa (Greek: Ποταμία), is a town (''belde'') in the Ãœrgüp District, NevÅŸehir Province, Turkey. Its population is 3,086 (2022). Ortahisar is located about 20 km east of the provincial capital, NevÅŸehir. Until the mid-2010s Ortahisar was rather off-the-beaten-track when it came to Cappadocian tourism. It is now much better known and many boutique hotels have been created out of its fine old stone houses. Mustafapaşa, Ürgüp
Mustafapaşa, formerly known as Sinasos (Greek: Σινασός), is a town(''belde'') in the Ürgüp District of Nevşehir Province, Turkey. Its population is 1,295 (2022). Its status as a town had been downgraded to village with 2013 Reorganisation up until the court order in 2024. It lies to the west of Gomeda valley and is away from Ürgüp and away from Nevşehir town. There are two main explanations of the origin of its name. One is being named after Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the military leader and first president of Turkey. And other being named after a local hero called Mustafa Pasha, who got a well drilled to the village to solve its fresh water problem. Like most of Cappadocia, Mustafapaşa used to depend for a living on agriculture., especially grape-growing.
