Ünye
Ünye (''Oinòe'', Οἰνόη in ancient Greek) is a municipality and district of Ordu Province, Turkey. Its area is 569 km2, and its population is 132,432 (2022). It is on the Black Sea coast, 76 km west of the city of Ordu. Geography Ünye has a little port, in a bay on one of the flatter areas of the Black Sea coast. Agriculture is the basis of the local economy, in particular hazelnut growing, hazelnut trading and hazelnut processing. The town is very quiet in late-July and August when most people are in the countryside for the hazelnut harvest. The town of Ünye provides high schools, higher education and other services to the surrounding countryside, and other industry includes a large cement factory, flour mills, local handicrafts and the port. The town has grown in recent decades, acquiring the multi-storey concrete blocks spreading along the coast, typical of so many Turkish towns. There are cafes and internet cafes popular with students. Turkish Women's First Football League
The Turkish Women's First Football League () is the second-tier league competition for women's association football in Turkey. It was the first tier female football competition until the establishment of the Turkish Women's Football Super League in 2022. Format In an effort to increase quality of the league, in the 2009–10 season two teams were relegated and four teams were promoted to the first league. Thus, the 2010–11 season consisted of twelve teams. Fashion One TV became the official media sponsor of the league for the 2010–11 season. At this time the league gained little attention in Turkey. After playing two groups with six teams and then having a championship and relegation group, the 2012–13 season was played as a double-round robin with ten teams again. Fahrettin Çiloğlu
Fahrettin Çiloğlu (born October 5, 1956, Ünye, Ordu Province, Turkey), is a Turkish writer and translator, whose family emigrated from Georgia in the late nineteenth century. In Georgian publications and Turkish translations, he uses the pen name ფარნა-ბექა ჩილაშვილი (Parna-Beka Chilashvili) and Parna-Beka Çilaşvili. Biography Of Georgian ancestry, Çiloğlu studied journalism in Istanbul, and worked for many years as an editor specializing in encyclopedias and as a director of publications. In addition to writing numerous journal and newspaper articles, he has also translated fiction and non-fiction works from Georgian to Turkish. He was the editor of the bilingual Turkish-Georgian magazine ''Pirosmani'', which was published in Istanbul between 2007 and 2010. Fahrettin Çiloğlu is a member of the Turkish PEN club. Ordu Province
Ordu Province () is a province and metropolitan municipality of Turkey, located on the Black Sea coast. Its area is 5,914 km2, and its population is 763,190 (2022). Its adjacent provinces are Samsun to the northwest, Tokat to the southwest, Sivas to the south, and Giresun to the east. Its license-plate code is 52. The capital of the province is the city of Ordu. John II Of Trebizond
John II Megas Komnenos (, ''Iōannēs Megas Komnēnos'') (c. 1262 – 16 August 1297) was Emperor of Trebizond from June 1280 to his death in 1297. He was the youngest son of Emperor Manuel I and his third wife, Irene Syrikaina, a Trapezuntine noblewoman. John succeeded to the throne after his full-brother George was betrayed by his archons on the mountain of Taurezion. Danishmends
The Danishmendids or Danishmends () were a Turkish dynasty. These terms also refer to the Turkish Anatolian Beyliks, state in Anatolia. It existed from 1071/1075 to 1178 and is also known as the Danishmendid Beylik (). The dynasty was centered originally around Sivas, Tokat, and Niksar in central-northeastern Anatolia, and extended as far west as Ankara and Kastamonu for a time, and as far south as Malatya, which they captured in 1103. In the early 12th century, the Danishmends were rivals of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, which controlled much of the territory surrounding the Danishmend lands, and they fought extensively against the Crusaders. Köppen Climate Classification
The Köppen climate classification divides Earth climates into five main climate groups, with each group being divided based on patterns of seasonal precipitation and temperature. The five main groups are ''A'' (tropical), ''B'' (arid), ''C'' (temperate), ''D'' (continental), and ''E'' (polar). Each group and subgroup is represented by a letter.
